Someone will take it. Low pressure for a while, still got decent cattle, will be rebuilding but at least going the right way.whispers are there aren't a lot of prospective coaches keen on the position
they might be stuck with him for another season
Don’t make me wait this long. They come out saying he has the full support of the board
And will likely be sacked on Wednesday
No current season stats available
Agree with pt 1, not so sure about the otherHe's just got to go, Melbourne isn't this bad a team
Thing is MFC will likely back Goodwin and stick with him till contract expires.100% it’ll be
Mfc board: We fully back Simon Goodwin.

He's worse than Beveridge.
Beveridge has won more finals, has also got his team to another grand final outside of his premiership year and in general play much better footy.

Goodwin won a premiership, took Melbourne to a PF and 2x SF. Also 2x top 4 finishes after the H&A season.
Beverage has never made top 4 and was gifted a premiership with disastrous umpiring.

Like I said in another post in this thread.
Bevo has won more finals, has also got his team to a Grandfinal outside of his flag year - something Goody didn't do and is the only premiership coach since 1981 to not get his team to another grand final.
Also where you finish in finals is the true finishing position, that's how it works in the draft as well. They finished 1st in 2016, 2nd in 2021 etc.
Finishing ninth this year is a disaster yes, but he legitimately has more runs on the board than Goody.
Kinda similar records altogether though, and personally I think Bevo is a pretty good coach, but after about 10 years things just get stale and they could consider moving him on.
Would be surprised if Alan Richardson is not booted as well.
Nice bloke no doubt but poison wherever he goes.
