Firstly congrats on the win but from a personal POV have one sad note

One of the few Pies players I really really wanted to see with a Premership was Presti - if im correct he was injured at the wrong time of the season

Feel genuinely gutted for him :( Seems to me to be a great team player.

Definitely a sad moment, but the club is bigger than the individual and in Presti's absence, N Brown came of age and that was extremely important for the football club.

I really feel sorry for Presti but winning the flag is more important and Presti knows that thats why he chose to sit out last week. I love ya Presti but we wouldnt have got here with out Presti.

Yep Presti and Lockyer are the main two who I'm really sad that didn't have a say in the outcome today and don't recieve Premiership Medallions. But like didaka the club is bigger then the individual and both these players know that and would be thrilled that the team and Collingwood won today.

I know, I know but its hard to see

There are so many hard luck stories in a GF Im just disapointed that Presti is on that list

Too true.

He actually pulled himself out of the game last week to put the team in front of the individual which speaks volumes for his character.

The Premiership is not just won on the day though. Presti,IMO, was as vital a part of this Premiership as the 22 out there today.

Slighly off topic but Ive always been the believer there should be a medal for everyone in the squad - my argument is that you cant win a flag if your not good enought to get TO the Grand final. Sure make a different one or a extra bonus for those who play in the final but the others should get something.

As for Presti - just goes to show what a team player he is.

Presti has been an unsung hero of the Pies, the silent assasin, I love Presti, I was glad to see him back in the side last week and then he was back out I was sad. But I grew more respect for the man when I heard he'd stepped aside and admitted he wasn't fit.

I hope he can stick around next season and we can do another one for him, he's a great team player.

I couldn't agree more. Presti and Tarkyn are the 2 my heart bleeds for. I can't imagine just how gutted they'd be... .

Josh would really be different. Last year we already knew he wasn't going to be part of a premiership push.

Today though, with all due respect to N.Brown, I think Presti would have probably done the job on Riewoldt (who had a shocker!! That goal sq incident??)

And with all due respect to Blair, I think Tarkyn may well have done as good a job.

Still this is Side By Side. We win together and we lose together.

Yes, I cant think of any more gutsy effort than for Presti to say that he wasnt right to play. His selfless admission set the tone for a team effort. Lockyer, Davis & Medhurst et. al were part of a team effort. Good work Eddie & associates.

Who knows, if he'd played last week and broken down in the first qtr, it may all have ended in tears last week.

Presti will, forever, be a legend of the Collingwood Footy Club.

Presti optimises the term "team player".

Absolute class act who gave up his spot last week and I really admire him for being such a selfless team first individual. Might have been the difference between a draw and a loss in the end.

Lockyer also pushed hard all season, did everything in his power he could to push up for selection and I also really admire his efforts this season even though others have pushed past him. Another great character.

Presti is a true champion of the game. :thumbsu:

It took a big chunk out of me today with the win and without Presti there, it's strange. But everyone knows how important he has been throughout the year. I'm sure he knows it too, he should be proud. Same with all the blokes on the list.

Presti, O'Bree, Lockyer, Fraser and not to mention Rocca and Bucks.

Heart goes out to them, but we have a big cup that they can hold instead of a medal!
This. :(

I guess you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs... but geez it's hard on these guys.

Great player and nice guy. Played a big part setting the example for the younger guys down back also!
The only time i didn't want Presti was for my Dream Team;)
