Round 6 vs North Melbourne at Perth Stadium
Spearhead Jesse Hogan dominated the Roos on Wednesday, as he carried on his march up the Coleman ranks with yet another bag of 7 goals as the full forward proved his wares as the form forward in 2020. Veteran Stephen Hill was the next best for us, his 34 touches giving us endless run off the wing and his pinpoint delivery inside 50 responsible for multiple goals as he put teammates into perfect position with his lace out passes. Skipper Nat Fyfe continued to build on his season with another impressive outing. A feast for the forwards, young key forward Hugh Dixon enjoyed his best display for the club supporting Hogan with 3 goals of his own, while rookie Caleb Serong bobbed up with 4 goals from a pocket, and mid forward Darcy Tucker piled on 5 goals as he split his time between the middle and attack.
For the Roos in what was a dirty day, full forward Ben Brown managed 4 goals from limited supply, while mids Jed Anderson and Ben Cunnington led the way for North, as veteran ruckman Todd Goldstein broke even with Rory Lobb in an epic ruck battle between the two behemoths.

I've been keeping track of the Freo statistics in the e-AFL competition so far, and here a few highlights:
Hogan has obviously been dominating in front of goals, but the likes of Fyfe, Aish, Cerra, Lobb and Hill have been superb in the middle.

Yeah Cerra, Lobb, Hogan have been massive.
Fyfey has had a couple lighter on games but he's making his move now. Beautiful work co-coach thrilla!
The thing with this sim is boney, if you haven't already picked it up from the SFA comp, is you really have to set and forget your prime positions if you want them to take out any of the individual awards. The 'Coleman' challenger will always 100% be the bloke you plonk at full forward.
Same with your ruck, unless subbed out, they play the full game in the ruck and take every stoppage.
The 'Brownlow' contenders do differ slightly, but without knowing the actual figured, I would say 90% of them if not all have either come from ruck rover, rover or ruck in that order. Ruck rover is by far the dominant position for votes, hence us having Fyfey in there.
The wings and centre will poll well in the club B&Fs and do well in the stats but won't win any of the individual stuff.

After a slow start, we managed to claw our way back into the contest and level things up at the main break. A slick third quarter saw us kick away after a 5 goal to 3 effort, but a shocking run of behinds, 5 in a row from a number of key Dockers saw us waste our opportunities in the last quarter, as a fast finishing Pies edged us out to win by 9 points.
Full forward Jesse Hogan was again a handful for the opposition defence as he put together another powerful performance with 5 goals from 6 scoring shots as he sits comfortably in the top 3 for the Coleman race behind Naughton and Kennedy. Rising Star nominee Sam Sturt was impressive with 4 goals up front. skipper Nat Fyfe our best with 27 touches and a goal, while Hill and Cerra combined with the skipper to make the most of Lobb breaking even Grundy to give us first use at the stoppages. Nathan Wilson put up his best performance of the season in a rebounding role from D50 as he saw plenty of the ball.
For the Pies, Grundy was a handful when pushing forward and was rewarded with 4 majors, with Josh Thomas, Steele Sidebottom and Jordan De Goey rounding out Collingwood's bests.

Round 8 vs Melbourne at MCG
In what amounted to an arm wrestle all day, it was a tale of two halves, with the Demons managing to hold a slender lead throughout the first half as they led from the first score right through to the main break. However the tables turned in the third quarter when Hogan kicked his third goal to open the second half and edge Freo in front, and from there we held sway throughout the third and fourth quarters, holding off a desperate Dees to win by a kick in the end, 123 to 117.
Former Demon Jesse Hogan continued on his charge to the Coleman with four goals in a tight contest with May, while Nat Fyfe again led from the front, supported by a dominant Lobb in the ruck and a dangerous Walters who split his time between midfield and attack. Rookie Caleb Serong massacred Dees skipper Viney, while fellow youngsters Sturt and Dixon delivered up forward.
For the Demons, Harmes bobbed up to kick a bag of 5 majors causing our defence plenty of headaches, while Petracca and 2020 recruit Tomlinson gave a good account of themselves in the forward half, supported by a lively Hibberd in defence. Former Docker Langdon was largely ineffectual, nullified by 2020 recruit Aish.
