That isnt true , he and mcinness have both been very good kicks and both have been ahead of lycett this year , mcinnes unlucky to lose his spot to darling . Eagles never looked top heavy with mcinnes and sinclair compared to how woeful cox lycett .

McInnes is a lovely kick but he's irrelevant to the discussion, if Darling was fit he wouldn't have played and Lycett would have comfortably out performed him in the WAFL. Sinclair on the other hand leans back on it far too much and lacks power. Not comparable in the slightest to Mcinnes or Lycett.

Lycett lays more tackles, takes more marks than Sinclair who is apparently "competing well" even when he's considered to be in bad form and Lycett can run and carry the ball as well. Safe to say which is top heavy and which isn't.

The issue with Lycett is he relies too much on his athleticism in the ruck, he tries to out jump his opponents and win taps outright. Sinclair bodies better and will half more contests. Apart from that Lycett has him covered for burst speed, clean hands and marking power. There might be other issues with Lycett which is his defensive running as he's a heavy runner than Sinclair.

Right now I like Sinclair

It fits and think his effort is good

In 2 years time I think lycett will be a far better player

Imagine being in Lycett's shoes

Signs on only after Cox retires so he can be second ruck

Sinclair becomes second ruck.
Lycett was given 1st option this year but was not able to take advantage of it .Sinclair has come in and had a fair crack at it with more intensity and effort and sure he"s making mistakes but is winning respect For being competitive .

Everyone seems to assume Sinclair's development will stagnate and Lycett will whistle past him. Sinclair just needs to improve his marking and tidy up his kicking in order to be an excellent 2nd ruck. I'll back him to do that over the next couple of preseasons.
I think it's more about scope for improvement. Sinclair simply won't ever be a quality 1st ruck in the AFL. However, I think we've seen enough from Lycett to suggest he will be.

Sinclair has the form and good on him, but Lycett has a long career ahead.

There's no reason Lycett & Sinclair can't play together with Nic Nat for 10+ years.
Sinclair isn't good enough, either as a ruckman or a forward, to justify playing both he and Lycett (with Naitanui) in the same side.

hynes wasnt great , similar player has a premiership medallion . that ruckman we had that went to sydney not ball , the other one rohhan jones cousin has a premiership in 06 . sinclair does a job . cryptic I know . hard day tired .

How many other ruckmen was Hynes in the side with? Or Seaby? One, I'd hazard a guess at.

I wouldn't have all 3 in best 22, but if Naita were to go down with an injury, well Lycett and Sinclair would have to learn to work together.

Lycett lost us the Bulldogs game. Fix the pulled heart muscle or find where he dropped his balls, for such a big bloke he looked like a traffic cone out there.

You reckon we would have won if Sinclair was playing instead?
Yes. Lycett was a door mat who showed no fight or physicality. Sinclair plays with desperation and fights for the tap. Minson took Lycett to school and gave him an atomic wedgie.
