I don't think anybody is expecting Sinclair to be playing like Daisy just yet.

But even the kids who have played a handful of games or less still have some expectations of them.

Look at Paine for example - he seems to have captured the imagination of many. The Expectations of Paine are very low, and in the eyes of many, he has either met or exceeded those low expectations.

Expectations of Sinclair are low, and those low expectations simply aren't being met for some on here.

Ok. Sinclair has been woeful yet again. We are literally a player down when he starts on the fields. I am sure someone else could do a better job than Sinclair. Ugle, Elliot, Seedman, Yagmoor, me?

Needs at least a year in the VFL. If he has to be played in seniors it should only be against bottom-eight sides who don't apply pressure. No composure and shit disposal are too costly against quality sides.

I always thought that Sinclair was terrible but i really have to admit that i was wrong.

He needs to improve a lot to get to the terrible level.

His disposal is terrible.
His ball handling is shithouse.
His decision making is hopeless.

He has shown nothing to suggest he will ever make it at the elite level.

Should have delisted him well before getting rid of JMac.

Okay, the whole team bar a few players were shit tonight, but Sinclair had three quarters to show something at least to somehow justify his place in the team. He didn't, the 4 disposals in 3 quarters proved that.

This is what, his third year in the system. Shows no signs of making it as an AFL player. It's not like he is a tall KPP which always take time to develop. Being pick 62, was always going to be a gamble, which hasn't paid of in my opinion.

Look, he might turn out to be alright, he is courageous and he generally has good hands, he's very quick and has a good work rate. The problem is that he's not up to standard at the moment, his awareness is poor, his composure is lacking and he can't create the space required to balance and kick effectively if in fact he is even capable of it.

The thing is, we're not the Collingwood team of 2005 anymore; we don't have the ability to give 30 senior games to players before they show anything because we're terrible anyway. If you're coming into the seniors, surrounded by experienced guys, you're expected to perform or you go back to the VFL and demand a recall.

I don't like mercilessly bagging the guy out, because it's not like he doesn't put in the effort. I kind of feel sorry for him, to be honest. It's not his fault he doesn't have the talent required. I just wish the coaching staff would stop picking him! Seedsman or Ugle would have to be an upgrade on Sinclair.

Great post. I admit i will defend anyone that gets picked for this great team but even i am starting to worry. Living in Sydney, i don't see the vfl team but Sinclair is struggling at afl level and needs to get his confidence back in vfl

Is a fish out of water and should not have been picked in any of the first 3 games.... I haven't seen him earn his spot, so either they have no-one else or they want to give him experience.

Stanley clearly had ability but struggled as a forward pocket. Not surprising really.

If you can't kick you will not make it as a footballer these days. I hate being harsh on the young kids but it's his 3rd season now and nothing is going to change. Wasting time giving him games. End of story.
