Most underrated moment of the finals for me:
Wilmot's chase down tackle on Heeney in Q1 of the grannie, when we were two goals down and everything was uncertain.
He also physically and mentally broke Heeney and with him, the Swans.

The one that flies under the radar is McKenna's centering kick to Morris in the PF. Reckon Conor is the only player we have that could've pulled that kick off.

I cancelled my grand final accomodation at that moment, lohmann then kicked the next pretty quickly and I thought i bet we win it nowHow about the feeling at 44 points down. Staring down the barrel of another wasted year, mids getting slaughtered, Hogan unstoppable, Fagan not moving any magnets. Beaten up by a lesser team. And yet... belief was still there. It never felt like we were done for. Not even when they responded with the last two of 3/4. Because our best was the best all year, albeit never for 4 or even 3 quarters consecutively. Fast forward - 9 quarters of our best footy in a row. What a time to put it together, and what a high vs the low half way through the third v GSW!
).With that snap of Cal's you could see him sneak a very quick look at the goals and he put the ball on what to me seemed like a very strange angle for a snap but it sailed through flat and not at very high trajectory which often misdirects the kick when players are under extreme pressure. There were so many.
If I had to narrow it down there are two for me, and they both involve Ah Chee. His snap against the Cats to get us back ahead was all class. The replay of Charlie putting his head over the ball (in itself a moment), Ah Chee gathering and snapping all in one motion under significant Guthrie pressure was clutch (like his set shot earlier in the game) and required incredible skill.
The second was his fourth goal in the Grand Final. I had just returned to my seat with my 7 year old and as we were walking back to our seats (which my mum kindly guarded) he streamed in and we high-fived a million strangers.
To top that off, we were sitting next to Jono and Blacky who he got a photo with (after which he asked if they were as good as his favourite player Daniher).
Kicked a very similar goal from perhaps even longer range in the third quarter. With that snap of Cal's you could see him sneak a very quick look at the goals and he put the ball on what to me seemed like a very strange angle for a snap but it sailed through flat and not at very high trajectory which often misdirects the kick when players are under extreme pressure.
I'd never mentioned it before because I thought maybe he fluked it but it disected the sticks and reflecting on your post maybe it's something he's practised.
Absolutely, I was thinking the same. Not a finals moment per se, but the way he blended kicking those goals whilst negating Whitfield, Stewart and Blakey went a long way to us being able to win it. A very talented, underrated player.Kicked a very similar goal from perhaps even longer range in the third quarter.
And of course there's his left foot snap from 35-40 at the Gabba to put us in front against Sydney late in the regular season.
He has an uncanny knack of getting phenomenal purchase on those round-the-body snaps. Accurately as well, despite being under pressure.
