Anyone else notice they removed the clock from the screen with 2 seconds left at QTR time in the Dons v Swans match?

Obviously been told to remove it early to make sure we do not have a repeat of last nights debacle...

From what I've watched this year they often remove the clock with a second or two to go.

Besides what the clock said isn't the issue, there's still a second to go as soon as it ticks over to 0.00
Yes and if you're referring to last night he still hadn't kicked it 1 second after 0:00
Anyway I'm not whinging but can the AFL just get this stuff right? It's elementary stuff really

To be honest Goldsack shouldn't have turned the f&&king thing over and collingwood at least have a shot on goal. It was schoolboy stuff.

Goldsack should be dropped on the basis of that one decision alone.

Should not been a Goal

It would not have been if Goldsack had simply kicked the ball instead of trying a ridiculous no look hand pass.

You're right, but really we have ourselves to blame for letting it get to that point in the first place. Would have been very lucky to get away with it.

We still in all likelihood would have lost - it's not really as simple as "we were beaten by more than a goal", but no doubt Adelaide were much better than us on the night

The quarter is over when the umpires signal it

The siren doesn't dictate when play stops itself

I've always thought this doesn't make any sense though. When the umpires can't hear the siren this falls apart, we lost the 1980 night GF because of this.

There has to be a way to go back to the tape and find when the siren sounds

So why even have a Siren then? just have a Watch to the Ump like in Soccer

Good point TD. When the siren sounds the players stop, they don't keep playing until the umpire signals it. According to the folks at the Adelaide Oval the siren there is louder than normal. I'm calling BS on that.
