It's nice to see you here mate, also I must congratulate you on your pre-season prediction placing Port in the top 5 by years end.

You are the only person I have heard of who selected us to be this high, and yes, I know we haven't got there yet, but the signs are encouraging.

I, along with most other Power supporters, was hoping for and expecting a top 8 finish, so well done mate.

I was in here earlier this under a different name but I have been extremely snowed under with work and Uni for the last 4 months and haven't been able to contribute here or in the Aussie-Rules NG.

As for Port finishing 5th ... I did also state that if things went well and they definately have. We have had a pretty good run with injuries.

My prediction was on the end of last years form and the knowledge that the Port hierarchy would have made it known last year was not good enough.

A few things though they club have changed which I believe have helped turn things around were:

1) Primus as captian- this 1st lets gavin just play footy, 2 installs a Powerful player as captian.

2) A fit team - the recruiting of the former Essendon fitness coach has kept almost ALL players on the ground and made the side even faster... and Gavin and Che playing 20+ games this year has been a huge help.

3) Continual Growth of Tredrea - His leadership has improved out of sight this year... he has had huge games whenever he has been the stand in captian and he goal kicking is now equal to most of the other AFL leaders.

Anyway gotto go but thanks for the praise and soon the real footy starts. Personally if we did make the GF I think it would be anyones game as both teams will be nervous no matter who they are.
