Probably deserves its own thread.

Highest rated SW show other than Andor which is a big surprise. I wonder if a bit of the 'under promise over deliver' mentality is working in its favour as I don't think many people had high hopes for this.

How good is it?

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't feeling some SW fatigue after the last several seasons to come out and underwhelm.

For some reason I thought this one was more aimed at kids?

Definite caravan of courage vibes. Not sure I'll be bothering with this unless there are rave reviews.

The reviews have been pretty strong.

It’s Goonies in space, or any 80’s kids adventure that came out

Been fun but definitely aimed at the kids.

Agreed although the mystery hook they've gone with, plus the secondary pull of JL's character has me interested enough.

Just good fun with what seems at this point to be a pretty good plot and enough mystery to make you interested to keep watching…

Must admit Neel is anunexpected hero and a fav of mine

Quite enjoying this. A good mystery unfolding and it’s just a nice brisk watch with a fun tone and excellent casting. Neel is a standout. I chuckled when the battle droid said “did we win” haha. I wish there were more episodes at a time, am very keen to see where this goes.

Again three good episodes up, lots of stuff happening and queries to be answered..

This has basically just killed the “if you don’t like Acolyte you are racist” talk.
Quality characters, well acted and fun story. 1 white guy and a ton of girls and actors who aren’t white.
Shame the Acolyte has totally killed any interest in the show though. It's really enjoyable.

In thinking of binging it. The first 2 episodes were great together but I felt I lost momentum going back to Ep 3

Yes I can see the logic, especially with a fun adventure style ride with brisk episodes that this is. It would be like carving up The Goonies into 5-6 instalments and watching one per week, it’s not quite the same flow and momentum doing it that way.

Another really good episode of this show… sort of a filler but with enough intrigue to keep you guessing and wondering what happened to at atan…

And Neel is the star of this show

I theorised a few weeks ago that the barrier could take them through time as well as space, and initially in this ep thought that might be the case.

I've also realised Jod gives me mild Doctor vibes from Who at times.

All in all a fun ep.

Not quite at the same heights, still fun, however more of a filler-ry style episode than before. Wish the running time was longer.

And hoping the mystery eventually provides the answers, it’s quite intriguing what is happening in this pocket of the galaxy (and why this planet in particular is so special).

Neel is the man.
