Will be in Melbourne for the long weekend and will be going to the game on Sunday (reserved seats held in the Hickey Stand) and was just wondering given the my first visit to Skilled, what are the parking arrangements in and around the ground plus the immediate area. Any thoughts?

Should be a great game with both sides liking to play running football. Hope the weather is ok.

I never have any trouble finding off street parking.

There are a couple of car parks though if you don't want to risk it.

You shouldn't have a problem parking in Kardinia Park, it costs though (unless you drive a Ford).

You could try for off-street parking if you're tight, but personally i just pay for a spot, much easier.

You may well be able to get free entry to the car park as a Ford driver.

Such a deal definitely exists, but there may be something in the fine print (we don't have a Ford, so have never bothered chasing it up).

You also need to go in the correct gate.The gate by the pool [gate D] is free entry for FORD drivers .

There's plenty off street parking around SS.

Yep I just park in one of the small streets coming off LaTrobe Tce, plenty of free parking down there.

Exactly. If you don't mind a 5-10min walk then park along Carr St, beside South Geelong station where there is plenty of free parking.
