There is not any decent options available at the moment but if you held on to Skippy($306k) for a week working off current averages & breakevens Buddy should be about $460k next week & Brown/Walker $210k. Meaning if you have $50k in your kitty you'll be able to trade Skippy out for Buddy & Brown/Walker out for a $95k rookie which by Thursday week there will hopefully be some better rookie fwds options other than Nahas, Warren and Thompson. Of course there is always the chance Buddy could pull a 150 out his arse...

I just can't see any point in trading out any rookies to upgrade him yet. It's as good as flushing a couple of price rises down the toilet.

It'll be interesting to see how many people pull the trigger on him, what with most having burnt one or two trades already on Raines and Anthony.

It's going to have to be a couple of weeks of playing two of Ziebell/Walker/Brown methinks.

So Robinson > Barham/A Collins and Skip > Riewoldt not a good idea?? Can't see Riewoldt dropping much more. And Robinson looks lost after his round 1 heroics.

Skipworth + $38k -> David Hale. Last two scores 5 & 127. Price has dropped $95k due to him carrying an illness through the start of the season. Ripe as a cherry now. You'll thank me.

Obviously you have money in your cap, because you won't be getting enough for the upgrade from Robinson alone (I dodged Mitch, thankfully). So in your case the trade is good.

I was assuming most haven't traded enough to have the extra cash to get someone like Riewoldt. Which sucks because I'd dearly love to be able to bring him in this week.

And David Hale? I wouldn't risk it but good luck on such a unique trade. Going from a 5 to a 127 is a bit of a weekly improvement!

20k short of a straight riewoldt swap..Wouldn't leave me much in the bank if I do those 2 trades tho.

I have a massive problem
I had about 300k last week but did a double trade to get Gilbert and Higgins in.. (i had higgins before round 1 but then removed him in a bit of brillance to get hodge in.... i had higgins and drummond and swapped them for a rookie and hodge.. bad move..) but that was before round 1.

Skippy > roo or boomer is 220k min.

I haev 50k.

I need 170k. Hence to replace a player with a rookie, the player has to be worth atleast 250k.

I don't have any players as of currently worth atleast 250k that i wnat to trade.

I could do a deldio or an under performing prem > lower player who will go up and then trade him back in at a later date. But that wouldbe a few points and a few dollars for a trade. Plus i could then miss the boat on a player I already had. BAD IDEA

I couold do Malceski.. but i have a feeling he is going to improve. That would mean a need a back up to 190k...

Any suggestions? or is that a bad idea.

I have walker and garlett on the bench. So i can cover for skippy for a few weeks. Garlett is usefless... 118k so no point in trading as cash cow...

I have alreayd used 5 trades thanks to a bad lot of LTI... counsins, raines, hentschel etc...

I think i might as well leave it especially seeing as Mal is against freo next week.. so sghouold be plenty of points there :D .

Which back rookies would you recommmend. I have Suban, Rance and Cheney already.

Your using too many trades. There is no point trading Skipworth now.

He has a break even score of 45, which I think he is probably capable of obtaining. I think Skipworth should be used for an upgrade to a premium.

There is no-one worth getting at his price, so you will pretty much have to make another 2 trades to get someone good. That leaves you with 13 trades left. Further to this, trading one of your bench players (cash cows) now, will mean you won't get the most out of their money making potential.

Hence what i was thinking

Skippy will come back in three weeks rested and should be fine. walker is good cover.

Only problem is if that 3 becomes a 4 then a 5 and then they decide to let him play some matches before he comes back to afl... adn then round 12 he finally comes back..

TO AN ESSONDER: skippy wont be kicked out.. hes an integral enough player to your team to be guarentted a spot when hes fit?

Skippy ---> Cloke = sideways trade. Cloke has never averaged over mid 70's. If you want to take a risk try Lucas, he has averaged in the 90's his whole career. But I'd keep Skippy, he'll be back and hasn't peaked yet.

I have only used 2 trades so far this year and have some $$ , so i am seriously thinking cashing in Robinson, he is hitting his b/e and may be dropped soon, to Barham (if he's named) and upgrading skippy to either Chappy or Boomer.

it is a toss of the coin with Chappy and Boomer, I know Boomer has not missed a games to years, but his first few games have me questioning whether he will avg 100 plus, whilst chappy is mr consistant in a gun (SC wise) side, but has an injury query hanging over his bald head.

decisions, decisions....

My best guess is Skippy will come back through the magoos and if he impressess in that game will come back into the side and so would be out for 4 weeks. But thats a guess. Still he's a big risk left on the bench which is why i have such a big headache this week.

Skipworth to bench
Ziebell gets a run.

I'll expect 4 weeks. He hasnt been that good anyway apart from the 1st rnd. His price is in no mans land.

With Maric dropped. (Don't ask me why I had him in the first place) I might replace him with Meeson. Leaving me with a ruck combo of J.White and Meeson until Ottens comes back  Then using the extra cash to upgrade Skippy to Roo. :thumbsu:

with shaun burgoyne and skippy out this week i think i need to do some trading.
do u guys think it would be better to trade s.burgoyne for t.tuck then upgrade skippy for buddy?
OR
straight swap skippy for any player under 309,000 such as a mitch clark from brisbane??

My exact thoughts precisely. :D :thumbsu:

(Except I have Cox at least.)

With a Robinson and Skipworth trade my magic number is 450,000.

Thus,

Medhurst
Giansiracusa
S. McMahon

are imo the best available in that price range, and Im not sure which is better value (although leaning toward Gia as he has had the biggest drop). This trade has to be to a keeper b/c I dont want to waste anymore trades on my Skipworth upgrade.

I pretty sure these three will be my only options as prices fluctuate in the next two or three weeks, Franklin probably wont go below 450, 000 and I have Delidio.

Comments anyone?? Did consider Betts and Gray, but like Krakouer sideways trade for an unlikely keeper = over trading.

could it be worth trading skippy to sidebottom this week?
(i know sb wont play, i have walker to fill in)

i will trade hill to broughton next week, so by trading skippy this week, i can have a big upgrade next week.

Thoughts?/??

This week I believe I will go Skippy to Warren and keep the $212100 to go with my other $33,700 to bring up a total of $245800 to use on upgrades once Rance, Petrenko, Cheney (if he gets a game), Rich, Beams, Barham, Walker and Brown reach there potential price. No need to waste two trades this early.

TO BOMBERINIES OR KNOWLEDGABLE PEOPLE

How Long Till Skippy Comes Back? i.e. Which Round.

I'm in a conundrum weather to trade Tuck to a rookie or Skippy to a rookie.

If skippy's back in 3 weeks, I'm chucking Tuck. BUt if Skippy is say round 12 comeback, then Tuck is kept and skippy is fodder as I'm not carrying over 300k for 10 weeks.
