I may get this in the future. It just seems like a really confusing game that has a really steep lurning curve. I did enjoy fallout 3 and new vegas but this seems like a much bigger and wider game.

Also if I did get it would it matter if I hadnt played the past games?

Unfortunately got the "cannot install this because it has not yet been released" message which was expected. I would have liked to at least install it. Oh well. Going out to dinner tonight. Hopefully I can play it by midnight but probably not.

Not at all. I played Oblivion but never finished it. That was all. They are all set in the same world but different parts and this is 200 years after Oblivion. People who have played previous games may appreciate some bits as you do feel like you are playing just a chapter in a huge story (but a very important and fun chapter).
