I'm not playing this on PC, but are you talking about strafing?
How else would you turn if you didn't use the mouse? You don't still use the directional keys do you?

You could always use a gamepad if you had one.

Yeah I do.

I know people will laugh but I much prefer the WoW way as I don't play first person shooters, I hate them.

Why can't I turn with A and D, instead of having to use the mouse.

I can reassign the strafe keys to something else as I am only going to use them in combat.

Can I do whatever I want now or should I do the main quest?

I wouldn't know as I'm a Noob myself but...
I did the golden claw quest (in the tavern trader) when I went to the town before speaking to whoever for the main quest.

I have a question, It seems you can only sell certain things to certain people????
I had dragon bones I wanted to sell (500 value it said) But once i finally found someone (in whiterun) they only gave 200 for them???

At level 8 now I think. I'm a werewolf as well, it's cool as. Like the wolf armor too. Cannot believe the size of the map, haven't really moved on from the companions area yet. Tried taking on a mammoth, it was a pretty silly thing to do.

How do you do enchantments? I don't get it?

Got the game on PC. Bought the physical copy. My disc is badly damaged as it takes forever to load. Thankfully I got the game installed and dont need the cd now. But will return it to EB and get a new disc anyway.

Need to select one enchantment, one item and one soul gem. In order to learn enchantments, you have to disenchant (destroy) one of your already enchanted items you've found.

Is there any easy way to get into the Winterhold College? My Illusion sucks and I'm 14 magicka short of being able to use the spell for the test.

Bought the game today started about about 7:30pm and played until about 1am.

Did the Golden Claw quest and killed the first dragon. This took me up until about 9pm. Then decided to join the Dark Brotherhood (they get all the cool shit), which took hours due to having to spend time running from place to place across the map. I did find an area on the way to Riften which appears to be dragon central. Basically got attacked by 2 dragons at once and some bandits. Bandits got f***ed up and I ran away!

Without giving anything away the DB joining quest is pretty interesting!

Depends on your speech skill and the NPC skill. (At least I think its speech, used to be mercantile). You will be continually screwed buying and selling items for a while yet

As mentioned above part of it is to do with your speech skill.

The reason you cant sell to whoever you want is a realism aspect, why would a tailor by iron ingots? Why would a farmer buy magic dust, that kind of thing.

The low value on items may also be to do with the vendors max purchase level, in these kind of games "poor" merchants will tend to offer a lower amount of gold for items, whereas "richer" merchants will offer more. In fallout (I think it was) merchants actually had a limited amount of gold, so you also had to make sure the merchant had enough to pay for your stuff.

Yeah the merchants can run out of money, there remaining money can be seen in the bottom right corner of the screen.

When they run out of money every time you try and sell something a message saying something like "The vendor only has "X" amount of money and your item is worth "X" appears.

On a side not how awesome is the whirlwind shout, makes travelling heaps easier.

Is anyone else having a problem with the Companion's bit of the game? Not so much with the quests, but whenever I'm in the area Vilka's goes crazy and won't leave me alone. I'll be walking toward ****as or Aela for example and he'll come running up and trigger a conversation with me, then after I exit the conversation he'll trigger it immediately again... and again, and again etc. It's annoying as hell, particularly when he's saying "Talkative one aren't you?" and I'm thinking 'No I'm f***ing not!'

I thought I fixed it after I Unrelenting Force'd him off the 10 metre fall or so at the Skyforge, as he went back inside, but when I went back in for quest info it started all again, interrupting all the quest info I was about to receive and removing it from the speech options with the other characters.

I'm on PS3 if that makes any difference.

Who freaked out at their first encounter with a Druegr. Sound is obviously helpful there, had it turned down last night and I didn't see the red dot on the radar. Argh!

Gotta sounds te soundtrack so far is 10/10. Epic music for an epic game. Even the ambient sounds of water running when you go over a sewer in the streets of Solitude.

Is the skill shown in green when you look at the stats? Your base value might be 19 and you have a +10 effect on Two Handed weapons. I noticed the same thing when I wore a stat modifier item.

I forget the guys name but after talking to the greybeards, they wanted me to raid this tomb for something.
On the way up there, I went into this cottage (Drula's? cottage) or something like that.
**** ME!!! the guy just started attacking me and killed me in like one hit of magic. haha

Also, Getting killed way to easily where I'm at on the main quest, might have to do side quests???

Old school. I used to play Quake like that when I was about 10.

Just cop it on the chin, seriously, you'll be used to it no time and wonder what you were thinking when you weren't using it. I used inverted mouse for ages and couldn't wrap my head around anything else. Bit of time forcing myself with the normal way though and using inverted mouse just seems ridiculous to me now.

You can 'favourite' weapons and spells. They are then in a quick access menu. Up on D-pad to access. Not sure what the shortcut is for keyboard.

I've had a dragon skeleton just fall right in front of me a couple times now.

Im walking to the graybeards from that first place. Quite a big walk
