I'm about to choose someone to get married to, what is involved after the ceremony?

Does your partner provide you any benefits or after a few days does she head back to the Temple and file for divorce taking 50% of your possessions...

1. some partners open shops and give you a share of the profit
2. cook homemade meals which fortify health, stamina and magicka
3. sleep with them and get a boost to skill learning

i think you can move into their house too, if they don't already live with someone

So does this game continue after you finish the main story?

yeah

I can't believe I'm about to write this, lol, but I too rushed into marriage... In Skyrim. The girl in Riverwood, the one that has two men already fighting over her, I thought if I stole her they would try to attack me or something, and I had just started the game and was just messing around in the first town I came too. So now we're engaged but I want to explore everywhere else and see who else I could get but meh, doesn't really matter I suppose lol.

I'll play the field in other playthroughs I guess.

Anyone else absolutely love looking at the world map? I think it's amazing.

Also had a laugh in Markath, I had just travelled there and a dragon was inside the town destroying things, so me and the guards kill it. Shortly after the guards reverted back to their generic conversations...This came from a guard not 3 metres away from the Dragon corpse, 'My cousins out fighting dragons and what do I get... Guard Duty'

MASSIVE GLITCH I have just come across. Not sure if anybody else has discovered it.

Warning here be SPOILERS.

Ploughing my way through the College of Winterhold quest and all is going well. Finally get rid of the Skeletal Dragon and make my way to the fight with Morecai. I test the waters a bit, and he creams me with insane magic. Like, almost one shotting me. So I set myself in for the long haul - reload my saved game and go back in to fight him. So I firebolt him, and he just stands there on one of the bridges doing nothing. I firebolt him again. He stays still. Do it again, same result. Hes not doing anything. Eventually I just walked up to him and smashed him with my axe. No reciprecation, no retaliation, no nothing. He just floated there doing zip. Eventually I just hacked him to death for free. Took my time. Was a bit disappointing, but ill take it. Has this happened to anybody else?

Nothing wrong with living vicariously through a video game character. So what if I tell people I'm married and leave out some details?

It's amazing how much there is to do in this game, I have completed the companion quest line, the dark brotherhood, 3 properties owned and thrall of 5 city's and yet i'm still just starting Act 2 of the main story line...

If you use magic make sure you get "ice spear", the amount of laughs to be had from shooting frozen spikes of ice that impale and send people flying is endless.

I have a magic question.

I use destruction magic and it is about level 52 but my normal fire and shock and ice blast only does like 8 damage. Can I upgrade these to do more damage?

Also can you buy shops in this game? If so where? I have all this gold and nothing to do with it.

I don't know if you can upgrade spells im 80 in destruction and i cant but you buy replacement spells,

Flames is replaced with wall of fire (About level 60 you can buy this from the college destruction teacher)

Incinerate replaces fireball and so on.

Every spell i have has been replaced with something better the more i level up my destruction.

The craziest thing just happened to me. I decided to do a bit more of the main quest, and im up to the part when I had to go to Kynesgrove with Delphine to kill a dragon. After I did so, another dragon attacked. So I killed that too. After that, ANOTHER dragon attacked. So I killed that. So now there are 3 dragon skeletons lying around in Kynesgrove.

Also  marked for death. The most helpful shout ever.

Just got this today after checking 4 stores in the CBD, all PC copies sold out, lucky South Wharf DFO JB had it, sitting on my desk at work in front of me, taunting me to load it on my PC here!

Is it that good, how much of my weekend am I going to have left for other tasks?

I would set aside a few hours for eating and sleeping, and cancel everything else. ;)
