I was 14 when it came out. Didn't mind it (for Slade). That was the period when I first realised pop music was shit and commenced my downward spiral into all things good like Zeppelin and Hendrix.

That one is from their early 80's period IIRC and not a bad tune. Don't mind Slade and was pretty into them at one stage,.best tunes are from the early 70's.

Was their last real tilt at the charts, earn't them some additional retirement money.

Their best material was early in the 70's, classic footstomping glam like Mama Weer All Crazee Now !!

Anybody remember this song? I just found it on You Tube. I love this song. I was about 15 when it came out. I listened to it about ten times a day for a month when it was first released. Awesome song.:thumbsu:
I was around the same vintage. Loved the song as well. IIRC it was around 1984 when it came out. Wasn't there another Slade song covered by another group around the same time. I think it was Cum on Feel the Noise or similar.

Slade were good for a laugh. Thats about it.

Mate.....

Go to your your nearest decent record store. Buy "Slade Alive". Go home and set your speakers up so they face each other about three feet apart. Turn your volume up to twelve, put your head between the speakers and press play.

Give it about 35 minutes and get back to me.....

Twas played for me years ago, hence I didn't go out and buy it. If you like 'em thats great, they never did much for me. Having said that though, I'd go along that Run Runaway was one of their better tracks.

Fair enough. At least you listened to it before you made the call...:thumbsu:

One of the great live albums for me
