Any new blokes down at the beenas??

From what i hear there are a few recruits. big doddie back playing and coaching helps them a lot and he has brought a few blokes down and a few back like woffa. Ash Rolands is over his knee as well. Could be Dark horses in Divvy 2. Caufield for mine though

Oakleigh Dist seem to have lost a few blokes with Pabst off to Chelt and 4-5 training at East Brighton.Has their been a clean out or is their discontent in the camp??

At least 2 ex Oakleigh Dist players have been training down at East Brighton with their clearances being lodged- look at league website. So does that mean Oakleigh may struggle a bit this yr??

Always difficult before labour day weekend, cricket is certainly in full swing especially for our guys. Lyndale have had quite a few through the doors but we just need to see them all at once.

Cricket is a killer and blokes are working more unusual hours these days. The traditional 9-5 working day is really athing of the past. We have had over 40 different blokes train down at the kangas. Not altogether unfortunately but the number of blokes keen is a big posotive

He isnt from Chelt mate he is from South Yarra I think...misleading username!!

Steve King is still running the bar at Chelt, which they named after him a few years back. Great man.

I hear his understudy of 15 years S.Farnbach is itching to take it over the role when he retires.....maybe a case of Kingy outlasting the big boy or the club wanting to minimise its ullage of beer?

A guy called Chris Moore. Former premiership coach at Oakleigh AFC. He is bringing with him Doug McKenzie as playing assistant coach who is a likely type. Chris will be from all reports a bit of a hard ass and a fire and brimstone type. Should be interesting to see how things go.

Any reports on training numbers under Chris so far?

Does anyone no how mackenzie is going is he getting any fitter, I hear he has a younger brother coming to play and the boy can play.

Watch for Murrumbeena to be on the improve this season. From all reports coach O'Donoughe has bought along a few players with him and they will push up the ladder a fair bit this season. I noticed they have a few country boys from the Ellinbank league transferring to them...does anybody know if their any good?
Black Rock will also be a lot better than last time they played Divvy 2 and will be more than competitive with their Oakleigh Ammos connection.
Except for Dingley's thumping wins each week, expect the matches to be a lot closer this year round and the division to be a lot more competitive. Any side could really make the finals...
Dingley still the standout and odds on for the flag!!

Dingley are clearly the standouts and you would expect Heatherton and Caufield to be strong but that fourth spot is wide open especially if the districs have lost players as been rumoured. Hampton, the beena and ashwood have had strong preseasons from what I have heard. It does not seem like anyone has dropped off from what I have heard. How far they have progressed will be the key. 10 wins might be enough for 4th and the wooden spooners could possibly win as many as 5 -6 games. Could be a log jam in the middle bottom half of the draw. Must say I am very comfortable with people tipping us to finish last. The pressure of expectation is not a burden. We are very happy no one expects anything from us
