it was more of a great loss by heatherton than a great win by dingley. Tunners were appaling, and only lost by 14 points in the end. Will smash dingley next time when the 10 or so players who didnt give a yelp on sat decide to turn up.

They have played dingley 3 times this year and have only beaten dingley by 1 point. Dingley are to quick and strong.

I think the tunners may have given Quinny something to think about over the two weeks, played very well in the second half without any help from Williams.

If Bennett mans up Brooks & Frost from the start of the game in the GF the tunners could be a real threat, in saying that I don't think Quinny will let Jamison get his own way as happened on Saturday.

All in all a pretty good game of park footy played in great conditions on a fantastic looking surface (nothing like last years finals at Springy)
To all at Springy the hamburgers tasted fantastic.

I agree about the surface at Springy. It's not often that a Council deserves congratulations, but the City of Greater Dandenong did a fantastic job on the Springy ground.

Hope other councils follow suit.

From where I was watching, I thought Dyl Hand being moved to CHB was a key decision to get the Tunners back into the game!

What is with only having Vic Cans??? Bloody disgraceful! Also charging $4 bucks is absurd.

I will tell you exactly why things are the way they are at finals venues in the SFL.

Lets start with Highett Football Club, a little weasel known as Lex, complained that clubs hosting finals received too much money. This little terd obviously doesnt realise that it is hard work that earns that money, so he interfered and you all now see the result.

I know this as i fielded many of his complaints whilst under the employment of the league. This club, and more so Lex, are absolute scum of the earth, real pieces of $hit, and their kind need to be exposed.

Due to this pest, the SFL, now supply the alcohol to be sold, take a huge percentage of the sales, for no effort in helping, and have the final say in all sales.
The league also take all gate sales, and do not lift a finger to help at any finals venue.
It was this new situation which caused me to leave the league, i could not work for such a disgraceful organisation, and hence my hatred for scumbag Lex, who tries to influence the league with his vermin like antics.

Why should clubs with adequate finals venue (not all clubs are lucky to have these) be the only benefactor of the big finals crowds/$$$.

I think the way the SFL has done it this year is best to give every club a chance to chip in (running the bar/gate) & make a few dollars..

Yes I agree it's a lot of work by the host club but spreading the load is even for all clubs, not just the ones with good facilities/ fencing etc..

Some of your facts there BFAMB are a bit wrong with the helpers this year, as i think about 5/6 clubs are doing their bit for a slice of the pie..

Dingley by 5 goals

Barthy to dominate off half back, chip in with a couple of goals and kill someone

love the kid

Looking forward to this one. Heathertons final chance at Dingley. Should be a great crowd. Who will win / why? Also I give to Beena two's a chance ... not a bad side.

I think heth will get up tommorow in the big game, apparently after training on thursday night gun heth player former ex sicko turned priest father matthew jamieson got all the players boots out and blessed them with some of his holy water (pdog's special sauce) i think this will be enough for the tonners to go all the way.

Yes unfortunately it was the Dingoes day the Tunners will be again in Div.2. next year.Who will be the big improvers? Will Highett have an instant impact or will Sth Yarra do the double?

Are the tunners gunna be competitive again next year Brightspark?

Looked like the best performers were all new recruits - Jamieson, Einsedel, Williams and Skinner

Are they gunna go round at heatherton again or one year wonders??

To early to tell Eric but,i would say all would be on board.
Don't forget B+F winner Graham,Sauer x2,Wardell,Krepp,Hand x2 the list is very good and several young blokes who will only get better.Add to this Cardona if fit and maybe Wilson back from OS and i would think the Tunners will be right up their next year.

Interesting.

Will need to pick up plenty of new players, the top half as youve quoted are impressive but from watching the finals games the bottom half of players were ordinary. 4 or 5 at least who shouldnt have been in a 1's side and dare i say wouldnt have come close to getting a game with dingley.

Not to forget Brightspark the great Man David 'AKERMANIS' Winteron is heading to Ross St. You guys better stock the bar. The guy only lives down the road and He fell in love with the place after his 10th nude run on Granny Night and Marquee Club Music which was playing on the dukebox. Theres only one thing that may stop him, which is the lack of match of the round games in DIV 2. Hence he will only have limited oppurtunities to show his stuff on the Channel 31 footy show.

Lets hope the big man can get online to confirm.

Hope the big man can
