you cannot compare the betts and sloane timeframe, betts had nearly 2 weeks to recover and he is not crunched under packs everytime he goes for the ball. My father is in the medical industry, said that it would be highly unlikely he will be cleared to play even if it is keyhole surgery, slight chance he could play a different role however but given we have a double chance it is unlikely they will risk him....the boys will need to dig deep and do without sloane :(

What does the crows training schedule look like from now until game day being a Thurs night?

Would their main session next week be Monday or Tues? You would think Rory would have to train well and hard on Tuesday and pull up well for another light run next Wednesday? surely being a big final he has to play....

Open training tomorrow at 12pm at AO.

That's all I know.

if its a comedy we beat Port by 120 on the 10th anniversary of 119

I was actually imagining a scenario where we play some other team and find ourselves up by 119 in the dying seconds so we deliberately rush a behind to pull it back to 118 in order to ensure that Port's record continues to stand :D

So if its on the extreme minor end and recovery goes to plan, he could play.
The article goes on to compare different methods of laparoscopic appendectomy and didn't really give specific recovery times.

It concluded that:
The minimally invasive single incision laparoscopic (SIL) and needlescopic approaches did not improve recovery, nor did the regional anaesthetic transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block technique reduce postoperative pain; however, intraperitoneal local anaesthetic (IPLA) drain was beneficial in adult laparoscopic appendectomy.

I'm still searching for a more specific article. In the end there will probably be examples of people who were able to return to work (it is extremely unlikely to state what type of work) in 9 days but the vast majority will take longer.

PS - I'm studying to be a paramedic not a surgeon.

I reckon that he will be good to go. The bloke is superman.

But really, did we build our office on a cemetery?
Yeah near gardens oval. Seriously though it's really awful news for Rory. We should be hoping he will be okay.

I was hoping to enjoy this week and weekend.. trying to avoid stress but this now has ruined that. its going to be a long long wait until next tues/weds to see how he is training

This will be talked about for years and years if we lose the game and we don't end up winning the flag.. this is another one of those crow moments that will haunt us

That's like when Mark Taylor retired not out so that he didn't break Bradman's record

Which Premiership flag was it that was raised upside down on the flag pole at our home game all those years ago? It's jinxed!!! get a Greek orthodox Priest to bless it and watch our luck change......superstitious you bet
