And probably thump someone on the way back out to the ovalAnd a ciggie.
Lol, classic. So has he re-signed? Surely any club worth its salt would have signed him up while under aesthetic.
He's an elite athlete, he's not going to lose much fitness by sitting on his arse for three or four days. The rest may actually help him. There's actually 2 different issues to consider:
1. Will Sloane make it in time to recover prior to the first bounce of QF? The answer is a high probable.
2. During the few days off needed to recover, will Sloane be able to run smoothly and to get the touch fitness needed to play a QF? This is the main question the coaching staff needs to address. What point is a midfielder if he can only play 50% TOG?
People keep comparing Sloane's case to Betts', but these are different types of players. Eddie just needs to lurk around goals and doesn't need to run marathons....whereas Sloane does need to run marathons in a typical game!
I'm still backing him in...4 days to recover post-op, 4 days to regain fitness, and then play on the 9th day! Come on Rory, you can do it!!

Don't laugh too hard....might get a burst appendix...ewww!!Have to say, I came into this thread depressed at the title but have exited buoyant and with a sore belly from laughing so much!
Jesus, do you only have one stitch.I'm the same. I think he'll play. Sounds like they snipped it very early, one external stitch.
!Sloane bent his knee backwards and played the next game after a 6 day break without even any tape
He's Batman.

We humans are amazingIf it's keyhole surgery then yes.

You've got to wonder about some of our media outlets.
Nine news mentioned Betts took 12 days so Sloane will be pushing it in 9, no mention Betts burst his.
At least 7 picked up on it.

A. If not, start him on the benchQ. Will Sloane make it in time to recover prior to the first bounce of QF?
Rehn on the bounce matShould compile a list of weird injuries we have been dealt with as a club. Would be interesting reading. Roo, Smart, Van Berlo, Eddie & Sloane. I am sure there is more.
Rehn on the bounce mat
Dougie hit in the nuts
Carey on square goal post
Even McLeod got an infection in his foot in 2006 I think. Did he miss the first final?
Bock out for a season with a back injury from lifting weights
Symes two broken wrists falling off back of a car
