I'm surprised so many people are doubting he will play? Must not have seen the footage of when he played injured and attempted to tackle...

My dad had his out when he was about 50 years old. Played a game of golf before going to the hospital, and was back at work in a physical job 3 days later. No contact sports involved though...Is this an informed opinion?

Anchovies on pizza is orgasmic.
Sloane didn't sound too confident in his interview on ch 7 after leaving the Wakefield hospital. My guess is the doctor has advised him not to play next Thursday. I got a feeling he will be out.
I think we'll struggle massively without Sloane in the middle. Even if he's just there to cop a tagDo we really want to risk him though?
A lot of footy still to be played. Not just the GWS match. I reckon we can take them without him.

It certainly is a conundrum. If he is fit/50%fit he plays, but at what cost?I think we'll struggle massively without Sloane in the middle. Even if he's just there to cop a tag

Or do you take the gamble that Sloane plays , we win and Sloane ( and the group) have a further 2 weeks rest.
I think they may even recall Thommo to be honest.
Agree, but equally when we last played GWS we didn't have Tex, Lever, Brouch or Greenwood. We had Menzel, Otten, Milera and Hampton. Assuming Harto plays over Keath.I think we'll struggle massively without Sloane in the middle. Even if he's just there to cop a tag
I just felt like I watched a horror movieI cant see him playing the more I think about it. I just think the personal risk is also a massive issue and I get the feeling the Club doctors will not clear him.

This is a contradiction to the news report as below:He said it did in the interview he does on Fiveaa.

“Without knowing exactly how sick he is" means his opinion counts for nothing.
Dr David Martin - Shoulder, Knee and Ankle Surgeon
Not sure where this rates him for knowledge on appendix either.
Anyone who has had surgery looks and sounds much worse on day 2 than on day 9. He's still in pain with some lingering anaesthetic in him.
