Couldn't agree more..... Almost as head scratching as the drop Hansen thing yesterday...
Now that Basti put together a solid game and Grima, Wells, JMac, Taz to eventually come in... Barring more (dare I say it) injuries, will be a great headache to have. Those four listed are walk up best 22 players imo.
Jesus - I did not see the Hanson post. He has been huge this year and when we were under manned on the weekend he had to take a very good opponent. He did not zone off as much as he has but I would have thought that was the instruction with Grima and Tippett out.

I haven't seen it either. I probably know why.

Then I was wrong, the post just got lost when I was reading the thread.

Y'know what ... I'd be very interested in knowing what people would prefer to be NM's next 22.

There can be only one...
This JZ stuff this week is so similar to some of the suff some posters were pushing last week against Swallow. Give him time to get over his injuries and let him play at half forward pushing into the midfield like Adams and Nahas, problem solved. Injuries have negatively impacted on him, debatable atm whether he is best 22 atm with the shoulder injury it appears.
JZ could click at any moment, perhaps it is this week, perhaps it is 3 or 4 weeks, perhaps longer. Who really knows.

The problem is if he doesn't pick up and other mids also have a bad game then that is how we drop winnable games. I hope he plays and hope he has a great game... but we are in a position to claim a top 4 spot if we stop dropping winnable games, are we prepared to risk losing a top 4 spot just because we are going to play guys who we know are not currently in form?

It is a big decision the club has to make. We rolled the dice and Bastinac and Swallow responded, will they back it up? Will Ziebell lift? We need to find some consistency in the middle.

Wasn't this thread was in the preview one.... Which is eerily similar to this one btw...

If Adams plays like he did and stayed in all last year - JZ gets 3 years to lift.

We ended up 10th last year for a reason, part of that was carrying players and being exposed under the pump.

We are not a good enough team to be carrying players.
