Smith vs Polec

Its an interesting debate. Both from the Eagles, both mates and both play similar position and have similar weapons. As far as runs on the board Smith has produced far higher level of performance on the field, but Polec has been injured alot of the time so hasnt had alot of game time.
I think the reallly good thing about having Polec at PAP is that both Smith and Polec will push each other to out do the other.

You kinda missed my point mate. I pointed out they are very similar players with similar weapons and the only real difference in their careers so far is that Polec has been more injured than Smith, so hasnt got the same game time. And the main point is that there will be a dose of friendly rivalry between the two of them that could have a positive effect on both their careers.
Man alot of Crows supporters have the same timid nature as our admin do.

What will really take some nuts is a revisiting of the Dangerfield v Ebert debate. Danger still ahead, but the chasm which existed 2 years ago has narrowed IMO

Ebert is a handy player but he's about as vanilla as it gets.

I like Brad Ebert but their stupid Danger vs Ebert debate is stupid. Dangers the better player but why arent they just happy that Brad is where he belongs, where his family belongs and that PAP. If we had of drafted Brad then just like the Cornes before him, Brad would most likely still be a crow.
They amaze me sometimes.
While i hate PAP, i am glad that the Ebert boys got to play with PAP. Thats the way it should be.

No teams bother to tag Ebert at the moment. When/if they do, and then IF he can handle it, then he can move into non-vanilla territory.

You can't be serious mate. Ebert is a good solid player and Danger has had a very slow start to the year but he isn't in the same league as Danger.

Would he even be as valuable as a Douglas or Sloane? Don't think so. Boak, Wines and Wingard are Ports drivers Ebert is a blue chip second tier mid.

I dont know if we really have a comparitive player as Ebert. He has great endurance and is quite consistant in his out put. More of a workman like player. I would still have him in my squad, replacing a Radar or Matty J etc. He isnt at the same level of impact in a game for PAP as say Boak, Wines or Hamish does. I do remember his first year at PAP and he was their best player that year. Tried his arse off all year he did.

All I said was the gap has narrowed since he crossed from WCE.

He's certainly been the better player in 2014 but its only 4 rounds

Ebert is VB.

Even port fans are over the comparisons between him and Danger.

Umm have you read the thread or just commenting for the sake of it. First there has been no negative talk about PAP. There has only been positive things about Ebert but also a mention of a thread on their board about them comparing him to Danger. There has been no PAP posters posting in the thread and arguing about anything. Its been a really civil discussion about one of our players and his relationship with his mate Polec and how they are similar and how they might compete with each other in a friendly way.
Man we have go some weird supporters here. They seem way more interested in policing and putting down their fellow supporters than the oppostion. Its almost like they doing their dirty work for them.
