Absolute selfish nobheads, I really really hope they're made an example of and not given the classic rich person slap on the wrist.

Like Richard Pusey you hold them in custody as long as you can as the end result is unlikely to end in a jail sentence.

Did this bloke achieve it??? The ol dressed in disguise trick …

“The 22-year-old who posed as a security guard to get into WA’s biggest sporting event posted a video on social media before the daring stunt showing viewers he had his “whistle and fake ID ready to go”.”

FFS, why/how can these media clowns suggest this bloke will somehow face a '$100,000' fine..!

I look forward to follow up story from this sensational fake news headline (which won't happen) when the reality is, this pitch invader will probably end up paying a $3000 fine and also not receive a ban from the stadium...

Related - for those interested. Legally speaking, streakers/pitch invaders are rarely a police matter, it's simply a breach of the venues entry conditions and unless you also commit an unlawful act, assault etc. then police are not involved. And if a related issue does end up in court, which is rare, accordingly it is normally a civil proceeding between venue management and the individual.

A good mate once legally represented a young bloke who ran onto the MCG during a boxing day test many years ago and again the media claimed he would be fully prosecuted and receive a $10,000 fine!
However, in the related mediation session, after showing some remorse and admitting being a 'bit drunk' and jumping the fence as a dare, they basically asked him to pay whatever he could afford (i.e. $1000), but he was required to sign an legal agreement (settlement declaration) that stated any reoccurrence would result in him receiving the maximum fine, a life ban from the MCG and he would also be charged with trespass..!

What a campaigner that actually dobbed them in.

This country has gone downhill so fast the last 18 months 😢
This.

Any long suffering Demons supporter should have had a right to be there, it's a shame the AFL didn't pause the season after round 23 and wait for vaccination rates to increase so Demons fans would have had a (legal) chance of watching their team break a 57 year premiership drought.

Yeah, great idea mate. Kind of thing I'd expect to hear while watching a game at the Gabba. In between Bieber and Britney Spears songs, of course.

The current outbreak in NSW was started by (allegedly) one limo driver. So far there have been +330 deaths, all from one infected person. Just think about that for a moment. These two self-entitled dickheads deserve absolutely zero leniency or hero worship for what they have done.
If it was safe for the Demons, Bulldogs, Cats and Giants players to enter WA after being in Victoria in the past 14 days prior, then play in front of a legal maskless mass gathering, it was safe for those two to be there as well.

Don't like it, blame your own government for allowing AFL players into the state and then ban the fans from coming in and quarantining legally, of course some long-suffering Dees fans would illegally attempt to see the biggest game of their lifetime.

The whole bubbles thing is a load of sh*t, players were allowed to visit shopping centres like the rest of the general public, there was an Essendon player who couldn't play in the elimination final because he was found to be in a tier 2 site.

Any other old MCC member Demon Fans on here recognize Hayden Burbank from the Neale Daniher era?

Back in the old MCC Members stand (green seats) a bloke that looked exactly like Hayden would sit in the seats next to the coaches box and whenever things went wrong (every second year) he used to glare and wildly gesticulate at the coaching staff.

I was at an AGM too, the one just after woewodin was traded, and this same bloke asked a question during QA and it was just absolute nuffy junk LOL.

Strange logic there mate. You are effectively saying that when the odds of harm are low, lawbreakers should be let off the hook?

Let's apply that logic using your wording: "No matter how badly it gets beat up, there are still tens of thousands of people who drink drive every day...Letting one bloke drink drive isn't going to mean innocent injuries and deaths."
Not really, it’d be more relevant to say because a few people drink and drive then we should assume all drivers are drunk and ban cars…Complete overreaction.

They did the wrong thing, they got caught, they’ll get punished. Because like Victoria it’s far worse to break the rules when you don’t have Covid than actually have Covid and break the rules because then you’ll get off…

But overreactions like they’ve risked every Melbourne player and 60,000 fans is a crock of sh*t.

It’s like Victorians thinking anyone from NSW is infected when in reality there are tens of thousands of people who cross that border every single day and there’s 2 documented cases…

Well, zero regrets for people who think only of themselves and some right they believe they have to be at a game of footy.

Just incredible somebody would do this after witnessing lockdown firsthand, it has killed people and destroyed countless lives and livelihoods. To put millions of people in WA at that risk so you could go to the game, christ.

Hope they string them up by their balls. It’s the least they deserve.
Jesus that’s an absurd stretch
