Anyways …the real story here with these two knobs is that they sneaked into the Demon rooms post game.

I haven’t read how the hell they got in there.

Pretty shifty stuff. Impressive.

Also got into an exclusive lunch function the day before which Gillon McLachlan attended. One of them is Facebook pals with Gil.

Clearly the trail of subversion of the WA health system leads straight to Gil’s door. He should do the right thing and resign ahead of criminal charges.
It’s a disgrace. Heads should roll.

Demons fans accused of sneaking into WA attended AFL’s VIP afterparty (paywalled)

It can be revealed the pair attended a glamorous afterparty hosted by the AFL at Perth’s Crown casino in the exclusive Crystal Club lounge.

The function began at 9.30pm after the game and was attended by league bosses including chief executive Gillon McLachlan, corporate sponsors, entertainment acts, broadcasters and other VIP guests.

It had a cap of 300 attendees, all of whom were given wristbands to gain access to the glitzy night, which kicked on until 1am.

But the AFL said they did not invite the pair to the function and did not know how they obtained highly sought-after wristbands to the event.
Gil is the theme that runs throughout.

Gil is the theme that runs throughout.
Indeed. If two Demons supporter knobs could scam their way in then it could just have easily been two Chinese secret agents with a stash of secret viruses, or two Taliban suicide bombers. Unforgivable lapse in security at Gil's spiv party. Clearly the buck stops with Gil. Clearly Gil must go.

If you can get into SA I would go via NT and across the WA border near Tanami.

But if you left Melbourne you would struggle to make it to Perth in time. 6000km is one damn drive

Wonder if anyone actually did this

There is an uncontrolled border crossing at the south-west of the NT, west of Uluru, near the Kata Tjuṯa.
Barring the occasional road wash out, it's a very well maintained wide gravel highway, suitable for 2WDs and trucks.

Would save days on the trip above... for next time....

either way..it’s a very long drive to Perth from Melbourne that route

Only a Toyota Landcruiser would you trust ..in case things went bad

how is it fake? Present evidence
At 2.38 you can hear the helicopter and music coming from inside. They say that's half an hour before the game, which checks out. Pre-game was on then.

But at 3.30ish, when they are under the gazebo, it's dead quiet despite being (probably) during the game. And where is everyone? Surely there'd be at least someone in the background? Some noise, perhaps? The surrounding areas where swarming with people that day, even if they were outside the venue. The Camfield (albeit on the other side of the stadium) was packed out with numerous activations on the grassed areas. Zero chance there'd be no-one around.

Also that big steel gate gate they go through at 4.06 is Gate D, which is never wide open on game days (and particularly wouldn't be during a grand final). It is on non-game days, though. (There's a lift just inside that gate that you can use on non-game days to get up to the restaurant that's up there - forget what it's called but it's publicly available on most days.)

Also, someone else tried it and this is what happened:

Highly unlikely these two did the same thing and got through a wide open gate....

Hell no
Yeh i must admit it would be easy to fake it with editing of the video. I think they had tickets and filmed some stuff day before or earlier in day and spliced it with stuff they did on the day including when they were legitimately in. It will come out eventually. They will admit it.

I highly doubt it was faked, they posted another video about it all and said they did get fined (about the price of a ticket) and every news outlet ran with it.
