Lighting strikes twice with st Kevin's and sth yarra t h king in glen iris was sth yarras ground until 2006 they went into recess for 1 year! St Kevin's swooped and built new pavilion!
I thought the pavilion wasn’t built until around 2014/2015. Others may have a more accurate timeline but don’t think SKOB moved to TH King until 2012/13 or maybe even later. Ground was (and I think still is) used by Glen Iris juniors. From memory the cricket club was also a driving force for the upgraded facilities.

There senior side might have moved later but they had sides at the ground in 2006 when sth yarra were in recess and in 2007 the only ground in inner Melbourne they could get was fritz holzer!

Watched Clayton vs Lyndale on the weekend, damn lyndale supporters are sometimes ferals, problem with most clubs 90% are good and then just a few couple ruin it for the rest, even a few approached the clayton bench reminds me of the old days, good footy by both clubs defo the level of Div 4 footy has risen over the last few years and clearly leaving some clubs really far behind.

south yarra 2 on the trot, close loses to both clayton and Moorabbin could be a sneak in for finals since the rumor going around is the full foward at moorabbin moved to dandy west

Not a rumour when he's named on PlayHQ kicking 4 goals.

Bit of a Friday night round 6 weekend preview to kickstart the weekend for our D4 Big Footy punters:

Hallam v Clayton
1 v 2 clash on paper however suspect Hallam will be entering as the $1.30 favourites for the weekend.
Seems to be daylight between Hallam and the rest of D4 however the outcome of this clash will give us a true indication.
Probably no surprise but Jack Sharlassian (20 Goals) will be the key area of focus in defence for Clayton as Hallam’s key target inside F50.

Dandenong West v Moorabbin
Suspect there might be a bit of heat in this clash with the transfer of TOTY players Mims and Ahmed across to the other blue team in D4 for 2025.
Having seen highlights, suspect Dandenong West should have the upper hand having the better side on paper. The weather and small Greaves ground could suit the Kanga’s however suspect they may need a bit more to go their way if they’re a chance at the 4 points.

Doveton Eagles v Narre Sth
The first battle of the D4 spoon clash for 2025. Suspect both teams will be super eager to get a win on the board and secure 2nd last until they clash again.
Having seen both sides play this season, hard to pick a winner however will choose Doveton based purely on the flip of a coin.
Matija Sigeti and Josh Davis flying for the Saints so hope Doveton Eagles & don’t continue to just bomb it in long.

Lyndale v South Yarra
Chalk and cheese last fortnight for the two sides - not in the way one may have predicted.
Lyndale are sitting 0-2 whilst the Yarras are 2-0, albeit very different opponents.
Lyndale should get the job done tomorrow with Mark Stevens due for another fill up for the Pumas and should extend his leadership on the goal kicking tally.

Good luck to all this weekend. May we enjoy the cold & hope the canteens at Hallam, Dandy, Doveton and Lyndale are pumping!

Lyndale are absolute rubbish, claiming their a flag chance this year but can’t even beat a club without a home ground in South Yarra. The Hallam game has absolutely rocked them, just a bunch of Cranbourne nuffies filling the numbers in this season.
