Key factors for tomorrow?

I think the biggest key for tomorrow is Stevens, he’s booted 19 goals in 3 games vs dandy west this year!

Can Lyndale find other avenues to goal? or can dandy west find a match up that works against him?

Lyndale with the finals experience on their side vs dandy west youth should be a nail biter

Disagree dandy west a lot fitter, should put them away 5+ goals.

Dandy West won as predicted but well done to Lyndale who had a real crack. Lyndale had a really good finals series and many wrote them off, credit to that group of players.

Hallam v Dandy West GF, will hopefully be a good game. Grand Finals can bring out some odd results!!

Hallam too strong in both grades, straight forward tbh.

Well done to Hallam, the double (seniors and ressies) isn't easy and an undefeated senior season is a great achievement.
Agree.:thumbsu:

But a top effort by DW as well, going down by 15pts in a game many (myself included) expected Hallam to win by a mile. Apart from R1 (1pt over DW, at DW) this was Hallam's narrowest win of the year.

DW got within 4pts halfway through the last quarter and really troubled Hallam when their talls (Nos.20, 41, 56) presented across half forward and up forward. Hallam's defence did well, keeping DW's forwards quiet for most of the game. Solid performance by the whole Hallam side. Should do all right in Div 3 if they keep this side together - probably mid table.

Also encouraging for new side St John's. They should be very competitive (assuming they will be in Div 4).

What was with DW's enormous white shorts? Looked like the 1920s.

I don't know what game the umpires were watching but they awarded the bog in the seniors to the player who didn't do much.

How will Ashwood fare in the bottom grade?

Well done to both Hallam sides on the weekend! Great weather and turnout at Robert Booth too.

With St John’s coming into Div 4 next year, how does everyone think they will go? Vafa division 6 coming to SFNL div 4

I'm tipping they will struggle big time, unless they hire a coach who will bring talent.

Does anyone know If they field a u/19 team ?

They have on and off but not for a few years I believe. Another club in the Dandenong/Doveton area that is struggling due to the changing demographic and declining numbers of footballers in the area. Have always been at the foot of the VAFA divisions and from memory fielded 3rds only a few years back. Good opportunity to build some local rivalries so hope the move works out for them.
