speaking to mate at lyndale he said they lost maybe 6 7 from ones either to other clubs chasing coin or retired but said they have picked up a handful of young 20-23yr olds from berwick springs fringe type players

I agree tho clayton spending way overs but be top 2
dandy spending but on the right age group and actual decent players from higher divisions will also be top 2

st Johns unless pick up a few will be middle tier, I watched a few games last year as mates play there and standard was average at best.

dandywest seem the big winners so far going after Dingley players

Of the Dingley guys, 3 of them are immediately top 5 players in the league. Goldsmith got Dingley seniors into the granny almost single-handedly in the prelim back in 2024.

Bye not ideal… but not much you can do about that for the interim.

Playing everybody twice so feel as if that is a win for the fairness of D4.

Round 1 a good start:
• Ashwood v Clayton standalone Easter Friday (get to see where each are at)

• St John’s v Dandy (Inaugural Dandenong Derby!)

Yeah, well Div 4 umps are still trying to get as handle on the current rules, and now we’re stacking new rules on top? At this rate we’ll need VAR, a rule interpreter, and maybe a psychic on standby just to get through four quarters

I hope “consistency” is one of the new rules as well, but that's probably too much to ask

Clayton play Good Friday (April 3rd), the game moved forward from April 11th so got that weekend off, and have a BYE on April 18th. So no game from April 3rd to April 25th.
