Hopefully he’s not a good friend of yours because he obviously thinks you are stupid because I’m pretty sure he’s telling you Porky pies what’s his name I’ll find out for you I’m a life member there and the only way he would be getting anything like that is as a player coach or personal sponsor it would not be coming out of club it wouldn’t be the first time I have heard people saying that they are getting a certain amount of $ and found out it’s nothing close or they are not getting anything at all

I’m saying that’s Is the only way someone would be getting that money and if it was the case yes they would be breaking the rules and I never said anyone was getting that money because I’m saying it’s rubbish I said I’m I life member and will find out if it’s true how could I admit it if I’m offering to find out I do know clubs do that pay a player through club sponsors or jobs and other ways

They'd want to add some outside run, big bodies last year won a lot of ball at the contest but they were flat footed on the rebound or trying stop a turnover.

Rebound footy Players literally aren't skilled enough to chain the ball from one end to the other in Div 4.
Big bodies and class will win you games of footy.

Fair enough, can't say I've watched much Div 4 SNFL - Just commenting on what I saw from some of their games last year.

On your point, if players are Div 4 are so bad then why are they being paid?

Because like clubs at any level, they're doing everything they can to try and win a flag.
2-3 quality paid players is a game changer against that level of opposition.

Why wouldn't a Div 1 reserves player drop down to Div 4 if they're going to pocket $300 every week?

Your comment was about players not being skilled enough to move the ball from one end to the other, if all it takes is 2-3 Div 1 reserves players then why doesn't every team go and get half a dozen of them? It would make for a more even competition

Andy Mathers dominated Div 4 at Frankston won the league b&f by a country mile and kick started the climb up the ladder for frankston, 1 player can do alot for a club

I’m still coming to terms with Ashwood playing in Division 4 footy. A club that was regularly finishing in the top four just a few years ago under Rossborough and Decca is now in a very different place, and being coached by Carroll — someone I thought was banned from local footy — only adds to the surprise.

Yeah its a fair fall but after Rossborough left it seems to have been going down each year not sure De Corrado was much of a coach. I saw and heard him against Skye and the players had tuned out to him at 3/4 time and he said just generic things not actually what to do to win the game. It was in the last couple of rounds of the year but still ???.
Poor coaching effort and record over all 4 years

Too many suspensions and eventually banned from the league. Later went on to coach country side I think

The flog went to VCAT to allow him to coach the footy side at the school he coached at. 16 weeks suspension but wanted special consideration...

Constant issue there, a lot of cultural issue, very poor choice to get Houston in killed 2 years of any progress and don't think he brought in any players

Taken City 6 years under incredible leadership under Mel to get back to where they are.

I don’t know who told you that dovey eagles are playing blokes over $350 a game because that’s absolutely rubbish they pay stuff all money out compared to other clubs because they don’t have it and after the president that destroyed the club a few years back they won’t and can’t go spending money they don’t have the club is just getting financially stable again from his mismanagement and lies

As far as I was aware, Doveton were giving out $50 per game to a few blokes last year to keep a team up and running but nothing beyond that

That’s spot on m8 I was told the same when i asked a couple of committee members the other week and they told me they are paying a few players and 6/8 are getting $50 a. Game and they laughed when I told them a player is claiming his getting $300 plus a game and they asked who the player was but he’s not to smart if you are going around telling people that and you have to be gullible to believe it especially if you Seen them play some handy players but not worth anything close to that not one player

Just from Socials and things people have posted looks like good numbers at clayton and Dandy west, St johns having pretty good numbers considering the season they had last year think the move to southern will suit them, Moorabbin in alot of trouble
