So... Hale or Bailey?

With a solid return from Max Bailey, who is now our number 1 ruck? I think most of us can agree we shouldn't play both Hale and Bailey in the same team.

Hale for mine.

Does more around the ground, is a better contested/pack mark, which is important in big games like finals. Better skills as well.

Max is a better tap ruckman but Hale's got him covered in just about everything else IMO.

Hale. He was rested last night. I suspect Roughy will be rested for either the Port or Suns game too if he isn't given a week from the MRP.

Bailey was alrite in his first game back.
Had some good clear hit outs it seemed even though Bellchambers might've had a few more in total.
Did a few good things around the ground but with the form Hale's in might be second in line atm.

Hale for mine. His work around the ground far outweighs that of Bailey's. Mind you, I reckon Bailey's ruck work is ahead of Hale's.

I just love to see Bailey start clunking a few. He looked far more trim and fit than I remember him last year.

Hale has earned his stripes with his work this year but loved some of Bailey's tap work last night and hope he can get a bit of game time through August just to keep him primed. Looked very good for a bloke who hasn't played all year.
