Valleys. Chelsea.
Harry Sharp(pick 43)- Has enrolled in a local school not far from the Gabba to complete his schooling so doesn't train with the whole group a lot, as expected is already our best runner, elite endurance.

Henry Smith(pick 48)- Has looked OK and pretty well developed physically for a ruckman of his age, long term project.

Blake Coleman(pick 24 A)- Needs to work on his endurance but is a highlight reel in the making, shows good glimpses, probably the most likely to debut sometime this season if we have injuries to our small forwards.

Carter Michael(A pre selection)- Has a good leg on him, hasn't really excited, another long term project.

Not expecting any of these guys to play this season.

Keep hearing about how well Tom Highmore (22yo, 193cm) is going. Known for his courage (going back with the flight and so on) and intercept marking across HB, and he seems to be a legitimate chance for R1.

Unfortunately for him he's known as a right-footed clone of Wilkie, and we already have Wilkie in the team, as well as Howard and one of Carlisle/Frawley, so we may not want a 4th tall/tallish guy back there.

Also starting to hear good things about Allison (194cm, pick 25), who came top 10 in our time trial and is a bouncy tall forward who grew about 10cm in his draft year and moves across the ground really well.

I have seen him Play as he is from my SANFL club (South Adelaide). He was one of the main reasons South Adelaide made a preliminary final last season.

Cox (8) - Really promising signs - did pretty well on the wing in the praccie match vs Carlton and looks probable to debut in round 1. Hasn't really missed a beat.
Perkins (9) - Started off well in the preseason had some niggles. Did play in the match vs Carlton but didn't leave a large impression. That said he may still be in contention for round 1 if he can put up a bigger performance vs Geelong. He's fairly physically developed for his age.
Zach Reid (10) - I think he's like 205 cm so he's going to take some time. All i can say is that he looks to be a very good runner and kick for his size. But he's raw and will be lucky to play games this year.
Josh Eyre (39) - Very skinny but has shown some good signs. Harry Jones seems to be ahead of him for the young KPF spot with another year under his belt. Probably won't debut this year.
Cody Brand (53) - Has struggled physically with the running requirements in AFL level training. It looks like he's got a fair way to go.

Jamarra will likely be gifted a couple games this year but isn't ready.
McNeil will play if a couple injuries occur.
Scott just added to the list. Not sure how he goes but many in the WB forum said he struggled in the praccy against Hawks. Unlikely.

We should be given some sort of humanitarian award for getting him out of Adelaide then I guess?
Yes you saved this players career and possily his life.

If Saints didnt pick him up, He might of ended up like most south Aussies spending most of the day smoking marijuana and Drinking West end beer. lol

Powell the standout so far with Lazzaro the surprise packet. Very happy with our top three picks. Spicer will take time but has done some extraordinary things at training and the intra club matches.

No he wasn't.

He was a second half of the year draftee.

Not a bottom age draftee.

Bottom age drafting was removed about 12 years ago.
Clearly you missed the the point
Balta played his games in his draft year being born october
meaning he was one of the youngest players drafted that year.

Yeah I'm really interested in how Powell goes at the next level.
Spicer could be one of the AFLs excitement machines if he can make a go of it. Electric speed, with all the x factor that you would need. Really hoping he can kick on.

I haven’t missed the point at all.

What you are describing is not a bottom aged player.

Do some research before posting rubbish.

Just in the top 10 - Raynor, Brayshaw, Dow, Cerra, Coffield & Naughton are all born in October or later.

Henry been going well and Strongly Pushing for a RD 1 Spot. Kicked a Goal vs Cats and did some Classy Things.

Macrae also was but not now after Sudden Death of his Father.

Reef was looking good Before Injuring his Finger.

Poulter showed class at Training/Match Simulation but Body not Ready.

McMahon shown signs as well and had a 4 Goal Game in a Match Simulation.

Chugg also has Impressed from Training Reports.

Don't know as much for Ginavani and Mccerey

Yes it is.

In the eligible draft pool, the younger end players = bottom age.

Regardless of the rules decades ago
It’s fine if you think the meaning has changed, but bottom age has always referred to players in the TAC/NAB league that are ineligible for the draft.

It’s never been used the way you suggest. If it were where is the line drawn? July? October?

It’s semantics and largely unimportant in the grand scheme of things, but no draft eligible players are considered “bottom agers”

100% correct. Will Phillips played at the charges with Rowell and Anderson as a bottom age under 18. He was born in May but birth month is irrelevant.
