He was awful, but that was years ago. Hardly any players are still around from then. Rawlings has had six years to sort out the list. Clarko has had three and still hasn't come up with a viable gameplan. Todd is dreaming of a farm somewhere.

It's a problem, and definitely made the hole deeper, but those first two years of Rawlings were similarly diabolical. He brought in 21 players and only Curtis is a clear win.
We've been much better at the draft since, but we still keep signing recycled players that add little or nothing.

Its not that simple but fair enough. Not all 21 of those players are losses. Alot of rubbish tho. The first two years of this rebuild is a complete write off imo but if Joyce had done a half decent job we wouldn't have been so short of half decent players during that time either.

I dunno if you read that recent interview with Glenn Archer where he basically said managers won't even consider sending better players to clubs in the bottom four. Recycled players who aren't highly rated is all we have access to. I think that's more than just a North problem.

But Corr, Logue and Stephenson all showed something when they weren't injured, (often injured in bizarre, freak ways too.)

Pink, Stephens and all four of the players we brought in last year (yes even Daniel) all offer alot more than little or nothing.
