So, which FA are we going to miss out on next?

Do we really need any FA trades? I was surprised when the rookies whom I had never seen before during Ratten's tenure came in and they really showed endeavour and talent except when the total team had a brain fade against GC. Our skill levels need to be improved and we need to get the mental side of playing fixed/adjusted (I got sick of watching matches over the last 3-4 years where after 5-10 minutes it was obvious we were not switched on). I yearn for the days when the Dominator whould hit packs at the start of games and set the tone for the team.

I believe that the vast majority of our list are good enough without trying to poach from the FA group (who are not all that exciting IMO from what I have read on BF). We need to continue to develop from within and only go after a FA that is worth going after.

Too many blues supporters do have rose coloured glasses on about our list, and I think that they are attacking you because they do not want their security bubbles burst about it !!!!
I am unsure how many blues supporters with rose coloured glasses would be too many but, in any case, I readily admit to being 1. Please tell me why you think the following team, full fit, has no reasonable prospect of winning GF 2013.

Touhy, Jamison, Laidler
Armfield, Henderson, Yarran
Simpson, Judd, Gibbs
Robinson, Waite, Garlett
Betts, Casboult, Walker

Warnock, Murphy, Carrots
I/C Scotland, McLean, Kreuzer, Bell (sub)

I just hope that Malthouse has total control over who we pick up in the drafts and trades, because Ratten and Hughes chose too many front-runners like you said before DW.
Well, I did leave out of the above picked team Ellard, Curnow, Duigan, McInnes and Joseph, all of whom I would describe as "hard-at-it" types so perhaps you could explain what "front-running" is meant to mean of an individual player. Oh, and how you are meant to know that a player is/is not a front running type?

The swans won the G.F. because they beat the Haws at their own game, . . .
What a stupid comment. The swans did NOT beat the whores(sic) at their own game. The swans were able sufficiently to impose their own game on the Haw-Haws to prevent the whores from playing their own game.

. . . and that is standing with your mates and not flinching when the pressure is on.......something that too many Carlton boys do not always do !!!
Really, that is the Haws game plan is it? Standing with your mates and not flinching when under pressure? Are you sure you are not talking about darts comps at the pub?

I do not want the blues to draft anymore J.Russell types who can run like the wind, kick well but totally go missing when a team like the Haws exert the tough guy stuff. Carlton....in my opinion need hard at it types if we are ever going to win another flag !!!

Perhaps you think we should recruit hard at it types like Rhyce Shaw, Mitch Morton and Lewis Jetta.

By the way thylacine60 I think that you should stop taking yourself so seriously and let us know what it is that makes you so "all knowing". Maybe you are just a bit " negative " with your comments for some on this forum !!!

At least I can agree with you here. For way too long I have had to work my way through grim and tedious posts of thys without, as far as I can tell, one whit of humour, intelligence, positivity or plain common sense. I certainly look forward to many more posts of yours and particularly enjoy your gratuitous advice, which is worth every bit of it.
