Uggh! Ever since I saw this post I've been looking up Degrassi sites all over the internet. I used to watch it, who didn't if they were that age at that time. I was probably too young to understand a lot of it to begin with, but even now I can remember individual episodes. Woah, talk about bringing back memories.

That was the coolest show. I remember that guy that used to host the show before Degrassi was on, and he used to warn people that were like under 15 or something not to watch it... hehehe. I think i was like 8 when that was on... I remember Spike that girl with the weird hair got pregnant to that guy that was a drug addict.....

They did have a Degrassi High after degrassi junior high, but that wasnt as good. from my recollection i saw it on the ABC bout 5 years ago or so, so it might be up for a rerun soon.

and i am going to mention something that i know i will regret somewhere down the track, but all this talk about degrassi got me searching and YES i do have videos of the show, which makes me think that was what i watching 5 years ago or so. i also have videos of man-o-man (special with afl players on) and heaps of other crap shows form the late 80's and early 90's

I was in grade 6 in 1993 as well when they last showed it. They had that final movie that I wasn't allowed to watch because it was AO but my friend taped it for me.
The episode I remember the best was the one where the bullie Dwayne got HIV, and he was having a fight with Joey, and when he realised he was bleeding he told Joey to stay away...

According to my sources, the Man o Man pool is still in a Channel 7 studio in Southbank. In fact the same studio is now used to shoot 'the weakest link'!
Back to Degrassi, maybe if we all write to the ABC for a protest they might take of Playschool and put Degrassi back on.
