sky blue is poo, like Sydney FC.

Hope City keep their white base strip and red away strip.

Melbourne is already blue, get a different colour Shitty.
Ironic that you have Man City as your team

Do agree with most of your sentiment though, City should have never been allowed any shade of blue as their home kit as Victory are already blue. If a compromise was needed their main kit should have remained red and white stripes with away kit being sky blue

Also heard rumours that Melb City's home shirt will be changed next season, will be at least 75% white (due to FFA ruling) and any navy will be gone

Had Man City before Heart/City existence. My banter is different for each league.

Yes, Its pretty dumb to have 3/10 teams with a blue base. Why not something we don't have. (like white or even a purple)

I always liked this third kit:

City can't be purple because of Perth, but I agree, there's less sense in changing to a colour so many teams use because you need to look like another club.

Read that they have already submitted majority white design for next season, but all options being considered for 2017-18 as FFA are open to them going Sky Blue since Frank Lowy stepped down.

In all honesty, once CFG bought out Heart, it was inevitable that they would change the kits to sky blue. Whether it was their first season, or a few years down the track, they would get their way eventually.

The white strip with sky blue trimmings was clearly just a stop-gap solution. I mean, it was Man City's old away strip! It was never meant to be nor going to be a permanent home strip.

Don't be surprised to see the red and white away kit disappear soon enough either. CFG want this club to clearly be a subsidiary of their company. They don't want a split identity between "Old Heart" and "New City". In some ways, thats not a bad thing. Before CFG came along, Heart had no identity other than being "not Victory". They had no point of difference from Victory, but now they do. They should be using this connection to try and get the Eurosnob contingent to embrace the A-League and support their club.

As for the fact that Sydney FC wear sky blue... who cares!? Every league in the world has teams with same/similar colours. Thats what alternate strips are for. Okay, when the league first started, having each team in a different colour was probably a good idea. But it can't be like that forever - there are only so many colours around. If the league ever grows to the point where we have promotion/relegation then these colour clashes will happen year in year out anyway.

Too many
Why the hell are Victory wearing white vs central coast for a home game? I know it's Geelong, but it's still their home game
It's a Mariners home game. They'll likely draw a bigger gate at Geelong than in Gosford. Purely economical, plus also helps the League gauge interest in A-League in the region. Always been a worry about sustainability for the club so each extra penny is worth a dollar.

We also wore white against the Mariners during the match at AAMI Park a few weeks back, so that the home jersey could be worn in the away Derby

It's all complicated sponsorship arrangements
