The new logo is horrible in isolation, but if this is what they're going for I actually don't mind it. However I doubt this is the case the new logo now says 'Leagues' which leads to me to believe that they are using the same logo for the W- and Y-Leagues as well.
That only works for the A and the Y though, can't see it working for a W unless the ball terminal is after the 2 slashes eg... \ \ *

'A Leagues' is probably a combined logo for the W League as well, now that they will be giving out a trophy for the team with the best performance across both competitions.

Yeah great thinking there. Lets hand out a trophy where not every club is eligible to receive it as they don't have a requisite club in the other competition.

They could change the logo to the poop emoji and it would still be an improvement on anything if they also did one other thing: move the league logo to the sleeve

did anyone actually dislike the existing a-league logo? i liked it, and don't think it's really worth a re-design after only 4-5 years.
The new logo if fine but once it became the logo for Football Australia it made sense to distinguish them a bit.
Yeah exactly that. As the league logo it was perfect. Once it became the logo for everything, it meant nothing and was just a corporate logo.

There were rumours. But nothing more than that. No-one really knows when, or if, it will be released.
