My footy club is having a raffle called the '100 club' or something.

200 tix sold, $100 a pop, winners prize is 10K.

But the night it is drawn involves drawing out every number (we have one of those old school lotto/bingo thingos) and the last remaining number wins the cash.

It was mainly started as traditional fundraiser so we can pay the bills, traditional in the sense that there wasn't a piss up attached to it, but its now turned into what will be a mighty night.

We used to have an annual wheelbarrow raffle.
Which involved six hours and 10-12 pubs before heading back to the sponsors for the draw. Chasing tins of veggies that got tipped out of the barrow and were rolling down Earl St in Launceston was a highlight.
Only brought in a few hundred dollars each year, but kept the club afloat.

Bump

Throw some good ideas at me.

Was looking at doing a Lawn Bowls day but all the clubs are having their pennants at the moment. Maybe Pub Golf but looking for alternatives.

Idea is to get new blokes at the club involved and to convince any blokes who are undecided that we're the place to be.

iPod shuffle night goes alright. Put however many hours of music on an iPod and sell the songs individually. Hit shuffle to start the party, the songs that are on at designated times (top of the hour, every half hour or whatever) are the winners.

Stagger the cash prizes (smallest first) as it builds suspense much like a reverse draw. Let people auction off their live songs and the bank gets a cut of it too.

Add food / drink / hookers / coke to taste. Makes for a good night if done right.
