No I got it from the dictionary after I saw Lewis and Crawford commit stupid dog acts on the footy field.

As for this game McGlynn deserved what he got.

Burgoyne probably shoud've gotten 1.
A forearm to the midriff of a bloke who was constantly illegally blocking and holding is hardly a dog act.
Lewis gave a love tap.
Barry Hall was a dog act.

Further to this however, I believe that Hawks have brought a lot of this upon themselves by advertising how they are going to go about things - unsociable football etc etc.

However, I do agree that the media do play a big part in who gets reviewed and who doesnt. I also believe that umpires pay 50's and report on reputation.
J Browns report for his bump on mitchell the other week was ludicrous and would not have been reported had it been Simon Black. On the flipside there are players who get away with minor indiscretions because they do not have a reputation, where players like C and J Brown would get reported for the same indiscretion.

Hawthorn are Undisciplined = a term first coined by the media. If you use this term, you are using an opinion introduced by the media and have jumped on their bandwagon.....think for yourselves.

So by that rationale if I ever agree with something the media have said first I am no longer thinking for myself?

To be honest I think Hawthorn are very disciplined in many aspects of the game, but several of their players have unfortunately been subject to brain fades late last year and early this. Whether undisciplined is the word for it, I'm not convinced, but if you believe it's not you'd want to find a better way of putting it than you have here.

good point. I believe though, that now it is a coined media term and the football followers of the world have adopted it -that the Hawks will be penalised unfairly for making a contest and committing themselves to winning the ball.

The bottom line is that the players that have been suspended should have been. None of the suspensions were unfair. It may be coined by the media but the media have accurately reflected reality here.

It's got nothing to do with bandwagons or the public not thinking for themselves.
