I cant believe that Huddos name hasnt come up. While he is the best set shot in the competition I wouldnt rely on him to shepherd Mother Theresa away if I had the ball.

simple
jason ball
the guy plays like hes trying not to break his nail, im serious, look at his hands when he plays, he protects them like he has long nails and he cant grab the ball or use his fingers for anything
i am sooo glad we got rid of him

If you were talking about soft free kicks then James Hird would be at the top, bloody hell the umpires almost kick it for him. And he will win another Brownlow before his career has finished because the umpires love him.

Just to clarify it was the other mullet who mentioned Jeff Farmer (I think he's far from being a soft player).

Softest = Long (won't go in) and Wanganeen (stager)

Not necessarily a soft player, but definitely winning the "Umpire what the **** was that free kick for?!?" award = Scott West by a street

Easty,

I know its been said before but you have got no idea.

Dunkley may be a crock (esp last year), he may be a cod ordinary kick but he is anything but soft.

I didnt mean it in that way, to me a soft player is a coward, ok he is hard at the ball but what he did to Hird in that prelim final was cowardly, he knew he was a major threat to sydney in that close final so he fixed him up, and then had the nerve to appeal and play in a grand final still !

A bit like Dean Bailey did to a certain Geelong player in the 1989 Prelim final.
Now which team was Bailey playing for EASTY ?

Actually, his very last act on the footy field was him flying for a mark courageously, only for that fatso of yours Johnson to potentially ruin his career.

Anyway, what you said is crap...complete crap. I know you probably wiped the tape straight away when you got home that day (that is if you were there), but if you still have the 99' prelim final tape, go and watch it a few times, and focus on Kouta. Everytime, eyes completely for the ball. You may think courage is having eyes for the man, I dunno. But when he plays he only has eyes for the ball. How is that not courage?

Only one has mentioned the softest player in the AFL today. This is the guy who left Hawthorn to come home because 'I miss my mummy'. When has anyone seen him mark in a pack or attack on opposition player. Skill yes he has plenty but guts ???
Maffew Robran !

He suffers a bout of amnesia when it comes to his own side JUBJUB.

Easy to criticise a player from another club but unless you watch that team every week you don't really know. From the Eagles over the years there have been these players that could have been very good ghad they had more guts and commitment :-

Dean Irving
Jason Ball
Fraser gehrig
Jaxon Crabb
and particularly
Todd Breman who was a No1 draft pick with superb handling and kicking skills but very little bottle.

BSA you were sort of right. Except hes 6'8 and 110kgs of marshmallow!

But really theres plenty going around, as said, if you play at the elite level of AFL then youve got to have some courage. But theres the Archers/Kellys type courage and the Grants/Huddo type courage.

From the sublime to the ridiculous.

Unfair, pick on anyone else but no way is barrel Moorcroft soft, he is a tough little nut. Again I say give one example where he has dived.

G4E,

Since 2 of those votes came from yourself and Olmy - bith notorious Richmond haters - they don't really count.

Too much bias to be taken seriously.

So if you hate the mighty Bombers so much, how come you are using the nick of one of the great Bomber Champions.
