Apparantly Sol is struggling mentally after the loss of his father, apparantly its really hit him hard and hes thinking about taking a month away from football to sort his head out

It seems he is having a rough time personally which is effecting him on the pitch I guess.
That was nearly 2 1/2 years ago. I hate to sound like a bastard but it's time to move on, Sol.

Embers, you really need to shut up about Zamora. Look at the poll going on, last time I checked it was 15-3 in Defoes favour. And if it was against any other striker other than Defoe it would be 15-1 (You being the only 1)

Few rumours going about that the NOTW will be doing a piece on Campbell this Sunday. Could be crap, but would make the last week quite understandable.

:) There are a few going round. It doesn't take long!

After the demise of his football career Sol Campbell trains to become a
vet.
On his first day he is called out to a local farm where two cows and two
horses are about to give birth.
The first cow goes into a lengthy labour, meanwhile within minutes of each
other the two horses go into labour. Sol tends to the two horses but
messes up with school boy errors and sadly both newborns die.
After 45 mins the first cow gives birth, with this Sol puts on his coat
and goes to leave.

'Where are you going?' asks the baffled farmer,

'I was at fault for the two foals - I'm not staying for the second calf!'

Sol leaving the ground was almost as funny as when the lights went out at the carling cup tie a few weeks back.

There's more to Campbell's problems than just his father, apparently:

DougCoglan said:
Dad died two and a half years ago, brother jailed for twelve months for rightly beating some loud-mouthed geezer who made gay taunts against Sol, paternity suit filed by ex-girlfriend which revealed he is father to son Joseph.

I didn't realise he was having it bad in his personal life, explains his performances recently as he hasn't been anything like what we know he is - I hope he comes through and gets his head together, even if he walks away from football altogether.

I actually feel for him to be honest, he is going through a lot.

Some strong rumours which I think are BS that he has HIV and it will appear on NOTW. Hopefully it is just the usual crap that ppl at home come up with.

The majority of rumours that I have read are that he is coming out of the closet in NOTW today.

I doubt the HIV one is true, there would have been too much already made of that, remember the guy in Melbourne that wanted to play VAFA footy when he was HIV+? Front page news for about a week, and that was local football.

EXCLUSIVE: Runaway Campbell breaks the silence

SOL: I'M OK

(In which case, why have you been seeing an 'energy' healer?)

By Lewis Panther

RUNAWAY soccer hero Sol Campbell broke his self-imposed silence yesterday and claimed: "I'm fine. What's all the fuss about?"

But the News of the World can reveal that the England and Arsenal defender— who vanished halfway through the Gunners' Wednesday defeat—has been seeing a FAITH HEALER.

For six months Sol, 31, has secretly had a series of sessions with a London practitioner to treat severe depression, said a friend.

In such treatments the healer runs their hands over the affected part of the subject's body, usually without making physical contact.

The benefit is said to come from the healer's "energy fields".

As speculation continued about Sol's personal life and relationships with three different women, the star's lawyer claimed he "just needed to get away for a few days" —but he'd be back in training next week.

Sol hoped to carry on playing while receiving help for his mental trauma. He is desperate not to be dropped from England's team for this summer's World Cup.

But his form on the pitch has been suffering and it all fell apart at Highbury on Wednesday when he was accused of gifting West Ham two goals. He stormed out of the ground at half-time and has not been seen by coach Arsene Wenger since.

The friend said: "The good news is that Sol realises he has serious problems and is trying to sort them out."

Sol's depression has put a huge strain on his relationship with new lover, fashion queen Karen Millen. A close pal revealed: "Sol and Karen Millen are very much together but she is deeply worried about his behaviour.

"She says he just sits in her lounge for hours completely lost in his own thoughts. She's finding his behaviour very difficult to understand but he won't open up and explain why he's so troubled."

Sol has been dating millionairess Karen since November after a traumatic split from interior designer Kelly Hoppen.

He is also said to have renewed his involvement with ex Janet Tyler, mother of his son Joseph, 22 months. Sol's battle with the blues dates back to last soccer season when he returned from injury and was unable to win back his place in Arsenal's first team. He was badly shaken to be left on the bench for the FA Cup Final and went into the summer fearful he had no long-term future at Highbury.

Aware he needed help, Sol then began secretly receiving therapy from the London-based faith healer.

Yesterday his solicitor Bon Battu said: "He has no personal problems whatsoever and will be back training next week."

He said Sol's problems were "footballing", and added that he had spoken to his client daily since Wednesday—but refused to say where he was.

Asked about Sol seeing a healer, Mr Battu said: "Who told you that?"

Is it somewhat of a coincidence that the first game we play without Sol, but with a back four of two kids and two midfielders as full-backs we kept a cleansheet?

if he wants to scotch the "sol is a benny" rumours, perhaps his solicitor doesn't have the most helpful name...
