Soldo or CCJ?

OK - so one of these guys is going to get a fair crack at it for the next 8 weeks or so.... who would you prefer?
Soldo is a big workhorse and a competitive tap ruckman but for me, with the success we have had under adversity this year blooding youngsters, CCJ has by far the bigger up-side.

I would be promoting the big hyphen this weekend.

I rate CCJ super highly but he isn’t ready to be our number 1 ruck...yet

I agree that Soldo will likely at least halve the ruck contests but I worry about him around the ground.
CCJ is very mobile and can elevate to take a contested mark.

Soldo will get the nod and CCJ will start his true ruck apprentice work as no.1 in VFL..

I'm also very concerned with Soldo around the ground, I don't think ive ever seen him take contested marks.. Big boy has been going forward and causing havoc, Soldo really needs to improve his marking and movement but he deserves first crack.

LMAO at the criticism of Soldos marking around the ground. Nankervis has taken 2 contested marks for the season, even if Soldo hasn't improved his aerial work (personally think he has) its not as if we will be any worse aerially with Soldo in the team.

Horses for courses. If we're playing a team with a dominant tap ruckman: Soldo. If we're playing a team with a more mobile ruck or one that sneaks forward a lot: CCJ.

I'd give Chol a crack. What is he on our list if he isn't a ruckman. 200cm with a big leap, pace and great skills. What is there to lose.... we have our senior ruckman as backup... Balta.

has done a lot more 1st rucking than anyone else we have so he should get the job. plus CCJ will get to be 1st ruck for a while in the VFL. soldo/balta should be fine
