Soli looks as though he is building momentum. he has an impact at the contest, and is looking more mobile. It also seems as though he is looking to score a couple a game as well. If he continues in this vein he will be important to us. He hasnt seemed to give away to many frees the last couple of games either. And as that detracted from some of his positives it is looking up.

He was good the first 2 games, poor the last 2 then played quite well today. Kicking for goal is still a concern though.

Very useful inclusion to the team I feel, very hard at it player with good skills too. Can play back or foward too, even in the midfield.

Loved his game, very tough and does alot off the ball that goes unnoticed. Heard a Docker supporter shout out that he'd done nothing all day when he was lining up for that shot late in the game!

That would be one of the bandwagon Freagles, that jumped on board this year.

Let me guess, they had 6pr beaming through an ear plug :D

According to the herald sun Solomon had 12 tackles, and received 3 free kicks while giving away none. :thumbsu:
12 tackles!!! That is inspiring.

I just love the way Soloman goes about his footy. He doesn't just "make" a contest, he seems to view the opposition's mere presence as an affront to his manhood. Something that cannot, will not, go unpunished.

yep 12 tackles to solly

Cook had 8.

I believe these two can co-exist. However... Our disposal is a problem and Cook will not help the clanger count.

and 73 for the team

crows had 68.

I know what you mean Gav. I looked down there, nudged my husband and said, "they've got Cookie at full forward." We both cracked up - it was a bit of a tension release at the time. ;)

Oh and I love Dean Solomon, and I love Chris Tarrant too. Wasn't sure that I would, but I most definitely do. :thumbsu:

A few others got chucked in too. I reckon CC just got a bit bored with Adelaide's game style, and said "Hey, let's see what happens if we do this!" He did it last year with Gilmore in the ruck, and obviously it still cracks him up. Especially as Gilmore seems to take it seriously.

Now that made me laugh... :D

Forward line pressure was fantastic. The crows at times found it hard to get out of defensive 50

That is an influence! Moast on here didn't seem to think he would be in the best 18-22. Where do they rate him now?

Solly brings to the team what we have lacked for a very, very long time. He's prepared to do the hard work and HELP his teammates, and is looking for the next shepherd or tackle he can lay to create space, not the next easy possession. Sure, we've had players like Macca and Cookie who give their all, but Solly is built like Clive and puts the fear of god into the opposition. I think he's been a very, very good pick up for Freo.

And to think we pretty much got him for free... :thumbsu:

What I like about him - and Webster has it too, and Tarrant for that matter - is everything that's been said regarding his blocking and shepherding and tackling... if the younger blokes like Doddy, Crowley, Kiwi, Schammer when he's back, Drummy, Mundy etc can watch, learn and put it into action then we will be very formidable. Seeing him do that would have to make them think, "bloody hell I should be doing that too", then putting it into action might be the missing piece. Cos as good as they can be when they are "on", that has never been our "strong point". I think there is much to be learnt from this man. :thumbsu:
