Have people forgotten that Essendon has finished 13th and 15th? Surely some of the senior players will have to put under the microscope. Its not the younger players fault Essendon has had to poor seasons in a row. How many players who have just come of a good season get traded? As big as fan I have been of these two players neither are going to get any better, JJ has been over taken by Watson and has Monfries waiting to get his chance in the middle and it looks like Essendon has trouble finding a match-up for Solly in defence this year

i cant see why sheedys wouldnt entertain the idea of sending solly and bolton (or any of the others) to freo for polak he would be great down back and even pinch hitter up forward for us like an adam hunter for the eagles

Freo obviously refused and offered pick 47 only.

Cool, glad thats sorted. It funny how a number of people listening to the same thing can here slightly different things.

It reminds me of this experiement completed at an American University to test how reliable people's recollections are when witnessing a crime. They had a guy run into a class full of 50 to 70 students and steal the lecturers handbag off the desk. Everyone would have seen the guy for a good 12 to 15 seconds. The students were unaware that this was an experiement at this stage. Then they were all seperated and asked to povide a description of the guy.

The range of descriptions was very wide. Some said he had a brown jumper, others black, others blue and some though it was a light colour. Some people thought he was tall, others small others inbetween. Some siad he wore a hat, others disagreed. In fact nearly every single person got something wrong. Some people even got his race wrong. Afterwards they were all put together again to try to come to a consess on the description and well they argued and argued and the final description the group consensis came to was also wrong.

Point of the experiement proved that most eye witness desriptions are unreliable.

Anyway that was a good distraction for myself in this very slow trade period...

i'll probably just confuse things even further, but i believe the deal is this:

solomon and pick #20 for Drum and freo's second pick.

doesn't sound likely, except that freo may be about to relinquish their first pick for tarrant. in which case they'll want to get back up the draft order a bit. of course, they may be able to do that with Polak, in which case i think it'll just be solly for #33 ( or thereabouts).

and if anyone has an idea of solomans worth, it'll be harvey and shaw.

Yeah, I agree mate...he'll do very well there with more opportunites. Eade has always rated him highly as has everyone at the Doggies
