Last straw in my eyes...play out end of year & bye bye thanks for your efforts. I know its a small misdemeanour but senior player who just has too much stupidness inside of him, on & off the field

As buddy of Dean Solomon I have to say how disappointed and angry I am:mad::mad:

...clearly this is a conspiracy concocted by the Weagles to further damage our reputation, my bet is they hired a Solly stunt double to get hammered with McVeigh, whilst the real Solly was most likely tucked safely in bed, they've gone too far this time :thumbsd:

How do you figure this?

mate c'mon...I love Solly's hardness, but he goes to far (see Ling etc etc etc), & it's not the 1st time he's been silly off the field in his career.

29 years of age, & getting slower & his kicking worse, I can't see any reason for giving him an extension into 2010. Doesn't fit in where we are as a club.

Meh how soft is this world getting ohno was out after 3am like any other person in australia who likes to go out an have a good time when they dont have to worry about work the next day.

He didnt miss training etc so its no big deal.

If its before games or miss training/still under effect while training its a big deal.
Other than that its just guys goin out an trying to enjoy themselves after a game or hard week on track.

Theres 1 guy i know in the team who gets upto alot worse than this an the people he hangs with are very very much the wrong crowd.

Boy tough crowd. It's not that bad is it? Well it's not IMHO. If it happens again, maybe. But as it is, serve the week and get on with it.

So he stayed out a little late and maybe had a few too many to drink?

Doesn't seem like much to suspend a guy over.

Some of Harvey's team mates would have done that the night before a game back in the day.

Clubs are now over reacting to this sort of stuff

Keyser, good to see you again !!
So we've lost Pav & Solly, who on earth comes in !!
I'd go for Happy & Kepler, we need some older players in there !!

not one of the youngsters.
been mentioned around before by a few people who have seen him out pretty late an not in very good condition.

Dont bother guessing i wont confirm it.
Just know he gets up to a heck of a lot worse than solly an people he parties with arent the type you would expect a professional footballer to be hangin with on weekends.

Aslong as he shows up to training all the time an isnt effected during training its no big deal what they get upto on weekends after games.

Perhaps the club are worried that this game is looking a little too winnable so told Solly to have a night out and a week off?

We'll probably have to go for more drastic action before the Melbourne game - maybe hold one of the young guy's 21sts the night before and then suspend half the team for going.

No point trying to tank the derby though - we could deliberately spread swine flu through the camp, crash the bus on the way to the game and not turn up till 3qtr time... and we'd still win.

Might be harsh but having had little discipline at the club for a long time a few examples at the other end of the scale is probably not a bad thing. If you break team rules, look out, no matter who you are.

This season is about rebuilding in more than one way. Good on you Harves :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Over reaction. Not like he wouldn't put his body on the line every week regardless.

He didn't take any of the kids out to teach them how to drink, fight, pee on police station walls or hang with gangsters. Harmless, only mistake was McVeigh getting caught.

The seasons done and dusted, what's the big deal? What would you say if it was Pav or Sandi, would we suspend them? It's a double standard clubs reserve for fringe 22 players, not stars.

Great work from the big Sol. There was a small chance we could win against Carltank but he took one for the team and had a few drinks.

Never thought i'd be trying to justify not winning but.....

I smell a conspiracy. ;)
Why wait until today when the Club probably knew the same day it happened?
This week's selections will be interesting.

Seriously, how many more games do we want win this year? Dropping Solomon does it really affect our capacity to win?
If we win without him then we've lost nothing with him being suspended and enhances the players and Club. If we lose then knowing that whatever combination used to replace him that doesn't work only contributes toward an early pick. :thumbsu:

One thing for sure who ever gets a gig will be playing to win.
