First and foremost, thanks for the challange, but, alas, you could not maintain your fine form of the last month. You have the best CHF in Pav who is a deadset gun and Bell one couragous leader who has beared his heart and soul for the club. You need at least 5 or 6 other players to step up and then your true potential will be realised.

You were smashed in the clearances, I feel you need some more hardnosed defenders, and a few good taggers, boy Stenglein would have been a handy acqusition but that's tough titties. You need to get numbers first to the ball and win the clearances and you are not too flash in the rucking department in terms of covering the ground. You have a forward line capable of magic on its day but insipid at times, just like ours.

Dominant midfield aside, we did not play as well as we have been and that is signalling that you better have a better dip at the last two games or else it will be another underachieving year.

I am know to not even conceed one of me chips to a seagull down the Fremantle foreshore so you got lucky

Better luck next year.

J carr is as good if not better than stenglien. Stenglien plays in a midfield with judd and cousins.
You keep believing that if it makes you feel better...J Carr has offered you nothing this year, a real disappointment but that seems the Freo way, recruit a gun and then turn the Freo culture on him..

As opposed to the charming West Coast culture...

Driving through Freo just 10 minutes ago - where I live, work, go out, do my shopping, where my kids go to school, my husband works - my town, my home.... with my 3 primary school aged kids in the car, and nothing more on my car than a membership sticker, and some complete moron beeps us at the lights, flips us the bird and waves his weavils scarf at me and my kids mouthing "losers" at us.

Sorry mate - we are not the losers.

Are you basing your opinion of WC culture on one idiot?

No. I leave the gross generalisations about opposition supporters to your lot.

But there is a culture of "superiority" about many, many WC supporters. The sad thing is that many of them are probably sadly lacking in other areas of their lives, such that they need to hang on the coat-tails of a sporting team to feel as though they themselves are successful in lfe. I think that moron at the lights fits in that category perfectly.

How can you say that, seriously?

Have you done a study on the supporters of our club, and found just how 'sadly lacking' we are?

Talk about drawing a low bow.

Don't need to. Just look at the behaviour when Bell went for a jog around the boundary line last night. The response from the filth? They booed him, simply for putting his body on the line.

That's all the proof I need that the scum supporters are sadly lacking in brain capacity.

Did I say all?? I said many of the group that I was describing. Did I say you? No, I don't know you.

It's the same thing that Collingwood supporters have a superiority complex because their club is the wealthiest and most supported in the country. "My own life might be carp, but hey I'm better than you because my footy club is rich, and yours isn't... therefore in my limited intellectual capacity I see myself as superior to you".

And, sinepari, don't take it personally - I have no doubt that there would be a large number of supporters of the Freo Footy Club who will probably behave similarly when our club finally becomes successful. It's human nature. At the moment your club's supporters have the market cornered.

I've seen kids in Freo stuff being abused by your filth plenty of times. By both "adults" and other kids. My nephew (12) was shoved down the ramp in the City end stand and called a ****ing loser after the first Derby this year by West Coast morons.

So we have evolved to deadbeats who drink Chardonnay and drive Range Rovers?

Come on coasting - if you guys have 66% of the WA market as you apparently do - are you suggesting that 66% of the WA population drinks chardonnay and drives range rovers? Talk about a generalisation.... Personally I have never prescribed to that theory / stereotype - you have just as many low-lifes and bogans among your ranks as you do western suburbs chardonnay sippers. As do we.

As far as patsmith calling me a hypocrite - well perhaps in that sentence I will concede I went too far. But I am also big enough to admit it.

But as far as the "superiority complex" and "I am successful because the club I support is doing well", I give you:

Exhibit A: the guy in the car today,
Exhibit B: the 20ish year old guy who threatened to bash my son's 9 year old mate at the Wizard Cup derby because when he waved his Dockers flag it waved in front of him, and the big hero then had to be restained by his mates telling him, geez mate he's only a kid,
Exhibit C: UNIT
Exhibit D: Jimbob
Exhibit E: sdb4884
Exhibit F: Lpj86
Exhibit G: kinny

This is just a list of examples. They do not represent all WCE supporters, but they are among the list of people who generalise in their disdain of Freo supporters and who appear to fit the bill of the type of supporter that I described. This is a discussion that takes place on the main board at regular intervals. We are not the club we support. We are just its supporters.

Finally, I'm not sure why I need to defend myself on the Freo board, when there were few weavils supporters hanging around pre-derby (worried perhaps - you needn't have been), but suddenly there's a plethora of you offering advice, trolling and rubbing it in.

You won the game - your team played out of its skin and Freo played like a mob of under 12s... be happy about it. Show a modicum of decency and be gracious in victory. Or at least try to.

You know as well as I do it works both ways. I could point you in the direction of examples where Freo supporters have gone too far after winning a Derby.

When you win, you don't notice the ugly side. When you lose, you notice every example. Every club - and that includes you lot - has those feral supporters.

Let me put it this way - for every UNIT, there's a Pav for AA....

You'll get your chance. Standing on Subi station late last night, a mate of mine was on the opposite platform. Dressed in Freo gear, he yells out at me "Eagles suck, wait till next time". My reply? "Your day will come, but that day isn't today" (accompanied by waving my Eagles scarf above my head).

He'll make me pay some day, and fair enough....

99% of us are perfectly decent and gracious. If you won, there'd be some of yours making us suffer; and it will happen some time.

I tried to get this in last night but my ISP dropped out.

So....

Except for losing I had a great night. Sitting Perth end behind the goals surrounded by mostly Freo supporters with a few fair mob of Eagles I was entertained by the people all around cutting lose (good naturedly) having their 2 bobs worth. It was good to be in amongst a different group creating a different atmosphere. Most who sit in the same spots every fortnight would understand were i'm comming from.

On the train a couple of 30's eagles had a go at me asking how I could support a bunch of losers. I smiled and said to one of them 'mate you know the names of any of your players' his eyes nearly popped

Everybody watching and holding their breath. oh oh !

Then another eagle guy said generally for everbody to hear 'its better to be a good winner than a bad winner' lots of nodding all round situation calm onto cricket. :)

Yeah... great night. Pitty we lost :(
