Poor old Ryan Willitts - being compared to Ben Holland!

Very good profiles though.

I'm hoping we pick up Matthew Bate with pick 13 or 15. The fact he is a bottom ager is very appealing.

Yeah, I'm now lobbying for GOALdenHawk to change his phantom draft.
hehe - the danger of comparing a potential draftee to someone! I reckon he is a bit more intimidating than Holland, but he does move like him and isn't that agile.

Just on the phantom draft, I'll rejig it Friday or Monday once lists are finalised and I know how many picks each team has.

By `isn't that agile', do you mean that to a Primus degree or to a McKee degree?
No, he is definitely more agile than those two. In fact, I just checked my notes and he was apparently in the top 25% at draft camp in the agility test, so maybe he isn't so bad after all.

He doesn't move that well laterally in a game based on what I've seen, but often he doesn't need to because he has smashed a pack apart and the other bloke is lying on the ground.

Put it this way, would you be happy or upset if Hawthorn picked him up with pick 7 GOALden Hawk? Personally, I believe that we should pick up Monfries or Bate, with Monfries the preferred choice. I think Willits is a Hack Job and would be devistated if we WASTED our pick 7, 21 or 26 on him, but thats just my thoughts!

He certainly isn't a hack job! I'd probably prefer we take a ruckman with 7, I'm sick of us picking up a recycled one every 2-3 years.
Do you think that a ruckman is worthy of pick 7? Are they good enough? Even so, we would still have to wait a year or two to even start reaping the rewards! I believe Monfries is the way to go, that way we can stick it up the Pies as well..!
Good article on Monfries at www.afl.com.au
He thinks he's ready and so do I.

http://www.footydraft.com/archive.php?pageNum=5 - the link to it is on there, along with all the other articles we've put up since footydraft.com was launched. Could be a handy reference point in the future.
