Some Interesting Average Stats at Round 20

I know that statistics don't necessarily tell the full tale of a teams success but here are some of the average stats per game for the AFC as at Round 20 where we are in the top 3 of the league.

Some will not be surprising and match our general appraisal of our game style but some may well surprise some people that we are rated so high.

Ave Age - 25.8 - this is the AFL average age - 8th oldest
Experience - 98.6 games - 10th highest - AFL Ave = 103.6

I do think there can be a danger to the raw averages as gamestyle can deflate/inflate them. A good example is ground ball gets, we're 1st in the raw averages however we are 12th when it comes to us v opponent differential (-2.9) in the last 10 weeks. That indicates we're only top because we're really bloody good at making sure the game is congested for long periods.

Yep, differential is definitely a better measure.
