I attended the Carlton vs. Sandringham VFL prelim final last week in Port Melbourne.
My friends Katrina, Rebecca, Sophia, Jolie and I were sitting in the main stand next to some Carlton footballers who had played the day before. I will not name names. Being the delightful young things we are and the fact it was my birthday! we got to talking with these players. I was on the rebound, because I've broken up with my boyfriend. They seemed nice, and Kat, Bec and Jo chatted away to them despite the fact they are all engaged. We were really having a nice time,until one player in particular ruined the day. A weird, married with a baby one, came on to my friend Sophia like nobody's business. I suppose she is quite attractive and he can't be blamed.
However, we left the seating area very quickly. (But that doesn't mean there wasn't enough time for me to get one spunky little blonde's phone number and give him mine!)
Has anyone else had this sort of experience?
I find it quite troubling that they think they can do whatever they like.
I'd like some proper answers though, because I'm serious about this.

The club I go to in Melbournes eastern suburbs is always full of footballers in the off season, drunk and cracking on to anything that moves (Female that is). When im chatting to the girls many brag about which footy player/s they had slept with. As soon as they say that I just walk off. Im not into chicks like that, well not literally anyway.

Well...how VERY interesting that is!
I won't give any names..or leave any authority...but I know all the boys and they ain't like what you make them seem. All the such gentlemans. Sure some might have a few faults, but hey...don't most men!!! Just because they are professional althetes people think they can not live a normal life like anyone else and they have big weights on their shoulders. If it was just some 'normal' blonde guy chatting you up and giving you his phone number and you giving him yours..you wouldn't see anything wrong with it would you!!! The Baby-Bombers of 93 were the kings of AFL sleazers. No-one came close to the antics of the likes of Calthorpe & Olarenshaw in particular. 'The weird one with a baby' no doubt learnt from his time there too.

Olarenshaw's footy **** bedding was and still is legendary around the EFC.

Even 'The Age' a few years back wrote a major expose into the off-field tactics of the players and the footy sluts how hang around the club trying to score a footballer. Try to find it if you're interested. It's nothing new - been going on for decades.

Seems like clubs like Hawthorn, WCE & Richmond are the leaders in this catagory now, although the Dons still have some fine off-field sleaze performers. The party twins Blumfield & Caracella the leading lights (both with 'long-term' girlfriends too, but that doesn't stop them at the EFC social club after matches).
