Wasn't expecting much and they delivered.

We did well to come back after being flogged in the GF against Geelong. Big question is whether we can do it twice. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not that confident.

I also reckon it's possible Rampe and Grundy could both fall off a cliff. And then where would we be?

Having said that, we'd look better with Mills, Gulden, Cunners, Fox and Logan in the mix.

Hopefully we can get competitive to give Chad a reason to stay.

Effort was pathetic, no appetite for the contest.
Florent shouldn’t be allowed near the back line, doesn’t even deserve a spot in the team. Front runner.
The midfield was embarrassing, the decision making was panicked.

Won’t make the 8 with this mindset.
No idea what Cox was trying to implement tonight but whatever it was dreadful.

Soft.

Positives for me...

Wicks and McCartin positional changes both great. Wicks in particular was very good both with and without the ball

Hanily looks like a great pickup (especially for a mid year draft)

James Jordon keeps getting better, runs hard both ways and is great in traffic, really good evasiveness and clean hands

Amartey with a very consistent 4 quarter effort

McInerney looking like he'll take another step up this year

Melican was a rock solid for most of the game

Honestly I didn’t think we were THAT bad for most of the game, apart from a couple of bad patches. They are just a very good team.

The number of passengers is concerning though - can’t have that many blokes not impact. Grundy is a massive concern - looks absolutely terrible to me. I’m liking how Armartey is developing though - really solidified his place in the team and looks really good.

Maybe a dumb idea but do we give Hamling a go?

Can play fwd and defence, **** could probably ruck
Why is Hamling on our list if we don’t try him?

Least the off season review to improve our tackling worked right?

Why was Hanily the sub? Showed more in a quarter than 2/3 of the team.

Nothing against the kid but easier to look fresh when you sub on and everyone else is gassed

I think I prefer three tall forwards.

When everyone is fit and firing, I’d like Amartey as main man, Logan as the roamer, Ladhams and McLean interchanging between ruck and third tall, McCartin back to defence, Blakey to Rampe’s role, Rampe to mentor the reserves.

Florent has played 169 games. He has to be better than a fumbly mistake riddled panic merchant.
He is an attacking non-defender. Always has been. Like Campbell and Lloyd I don't want him in the back six.
Wicks on the other hand just WOW! 74 fantasy while keeping Watson to 11. Four smashing tackles including a HTB. Definitely one of our best.

Oh and reports of breakout Campbell season ……nope

Florent and it’s my anger right now can **** off

Prepared to give him a couple of weeks but I’ve seen this before he runs around like a headless chicken and doesn’t get the pill. Hanily got the ball 6 times in a quarter…Campbell got it 8 times in the entire game…enough said

I think the two main issues are Rampe and Grundy.

If Grundy plays well we probably pinch a win, If Rampe is himself from 12 months ago even he steadies the defence and florent roberts feed off that.

Can't win carrying the ruckman

Think we can wait to see if the two works when its not raining half the game
