Alot of Anglicans actually would like to be in Union with the Bishop of Rome

And alot don't.

I agree I didn't because the Dark Matter definition didn't either

At least physics is in some way a credible provable entity and subject. You can't talk about god without getting yourself trapped in theological BS arguments. I mean what is god? The people who supposedly study the thing all their lives don't even know!

Sure it did. Dark Matter IS "that which isn't matter." A=not-A

Tell me what God IS.

Evo, describing what something isn't doesn't necessarily describe what it IS though. Describing what a rabbit is by describing how it isn't a fox or a dog doesn't describe what a rabbit is, just what it isn't.

It's like people who say that god isn't hateful or gendered. Sure, but what IS god?

it does in this case though.Because(assuming there is such thing as Dark Matter)there can only be it,and matter.

Your fox/rabbit analogy doesn't hold.

A=not-A is how we discern all 'things'....contrast.

You can name the keyboard in front of you because it "isn't the desk it is sitting on" and "it isn't the air that surrounds it"etc. The keyboard IS (not) everything that isn't the keyboard.

It sounds frivolous at first but once you really get your head around it it can be a very useful insight.Enlightening even.

Got to agree using the principles of logic as the basis of proofs for the existence of God went out with Fat Boy Tom

Sure but saying dark matter is everything but matter and it is the object of the opposite of it, not matter hardly sounds scientific. My point is that the status of dark matter "not matter" seems to me like a pseudoscience. I mean the last thing science needs is vague tautologies. I take your point but I still refuse to be the torch bearer of the dark matter belief group.

I say again, people constantly use what god isn't. As much as the keyboard isn't the desk it is sitting on, people say god isn't gendered, cruel, bound by nature etc. And yet they still aren't explaining what god IS. It just seems to me that saying dark matter is "not matter", while it may be scientifically and somewhat philosophically correct, doesn't remove it from the theistic similarities.

Oh right.

I wasn't trying to sound scientific.I don't particularly care what science has to say other than as an interesting empirical curiousity, like history. It was Qsaint who bought up dark matter.

I'm trying to make an ontological point.

Indeed you are correct, the ape Homo Sapien's Science discoveries, all well and good for life, can never prove or disprove God.

One can only experience God.

As all of you will, whether you want to or not.

The Ape will experience, the flight or fall from the tree, and why the tree ever was at all, you will experience; whether you want to or not.

It is all up to you when, if only in your last breath.

When you post these sorts of incoherent ramblings, what are you trying to achieve?

I mean, take me, for example. I post to add my thoughts to the discussion, to see if people agree or disagree, have similar views, slightly different, much different. Debate if possible. It also helps me articulate my own thoughts by typing them onto the screen. By reading these threads and contributing, I feel that I am gaining a far better insight into many issues than I would if I were to just read my beloved Age, for example.

But why do you post? You add nothing of insight. It is always the same garbage. You clearly don't care what others have to say. You seem to want others to admire your mystical rantings. Are you drunk?

It's not unusual for people who believe in God,to possess this insatiable urge to testify--some feel the need to do it daily.Ironically they are usually the same people who claim to be without,or of very little, ego.

While mere mortals like you and I only experience the occassional mundane feelings (if we're lucky) of elation, joy, exhilaration, love and ecstasy, these chosen ones experience something so much more than that--something trascendant, super natural,other-worldy;God.

It's all very impressive.

true eh. reading this board one would tend to think believing in God makes one a paedophile and a wierdo. strange how different people percieve the same thing.
Is that how you see yourself?
