CJ should be banished to the VFL for the rest of the season unless we have major injuries. He needs to learn how to play the game and get full games under his belt. Time is fast running out.

Dyson should be put to pasture now and we need to give games to Hislop/Houli/Lonergan/Reimers for the remainder of the season.

Heck even Bolts of Heff should be getting a game before Dyson.

Here, here Kel! Finally, some changes that will be necessary.. Problem is, is that they'll rehash the same sh*t.. Messrs Bolton, Cole, Heffernan & Camporeale.

We had 7 scoring shots in the first quarter, we had a scoring shot for every two entries, that's pretty damn effective.

No, that isn't the point.

Geelong are a better side than us, they have better players, capable of playing better football.

We're not as good as them over the park, our forward line set up gave us a chance. It was effective in getting us close to the best team in the comp. A team we aren't as good as.

Geelong have developed into a very strong,accountable side. They have a dozen odd players who always perform well every week and they have a backline that makes you work hard to get your goals because of the constant pressure they put on you.

We have no such list of fine players.....atm.


We have a few.... Hird,Lloyd,Fletcher,Stanton,McVeigh,Lucas and Winderlich.


Only 7 players.

Seven players that have performed well in almost every match they have played in.The rest are in and out,play well one week,drop off the next.
While other teams are moving forward with their development of the younger players (not including draftees) we are struggling to get any improvement from our 20 to 50 gamers.

We have Dyson,Johns,Laycock,Cole,NLM,Hille,Lovett,Kepler and Watson all struggling to "take the next step". Sure they all have good games here and there,but we need far more than that from this group.

We have Pev,MJ (anyone see Chapman shrug MJ off in a tackle with his shoulder...twice?),Camporeale,Heff,Bolton,McPhee,JJ and Monfries not going as well as we all would like...we need a re-shuffle.

We played pretty well,but Geelong crunched us many times with their stronger will to win the hard ball and marked and held the ball while under pressure.

We have Slattery,Ryder,Nash,Davey(next year) and Welsh who are improving with every match they play..but we need more.

We need a Gary Ablett Jnr type game breaker,some strong hard bodies like Chapman and Harley,and some more (better) midfielders.



The season is gone for us if we don't start improving...finals that is.

I think we're still a few years being off a top 4 competitive side. Midfield is more important than ever in footy these days and the players we have are either still to inexperienced or getting close to the end. JJ and Peverill are close to the end and while Stanton, Winderlich, Watson, Hislop, Houli ect all look like being very solid players, not sure if any of them will be superstars of the comp, which is why they need to be in their prime before our midfield starts to get on top of the oppositions. None of them have more than 60 games experience which is why I believe we'll be mid-ladderish for a few more years. Still will hopefully have one of Lloyd or Lucas then with Gumby coming through.
